“I have a son who is allergic to peanuts and tree nuts, and we’ve always been looking for a store where we could get a cake for his birthday, or for any of our birthdays, really. And for the first time, we went to this shop, and it was amazing. My son ate his cake, and we had no issues with cross-contamination or anything like that. So I highly recommend it to anyone who has any kind of allergy, whether it’s to peanuts, tree nuts, or seeds.Thank you for making this type of cake ❤️🫶🏼“

“I ordered a cake for my husbands birthday to surprise him and his favorite is the s’mores brownie we usually get from the pastry case so I ordered the cake version. It was amazing! It was fudgey and you can taste the brown butter in the graham cracker layer. They also were very accommodating with a pick up on a Monday when they’re closed but are prepping. I can’t recommend it enough and the staff is always so nice and friendly. I love coming here! Sadly I forgot to take a photo before we dug in.“

“Sweet Magic made a custom Black Forest birthday cake for my husband! The taste was great and the portion was huge!! When I was speaking to a man at the shop when ordering, he said it would feed 20-25 people but even after serving everyone, we had sooo much left over! I had a mix of Indian and American guest and all the American guest said that this was the best cake they have ever tasted! I definitely agree! They were professional when taking the order and asked many questions to make sure I got what I ordered. I was able to send a photo to the number to show them exactly what I wanted. Very pleased overall!“

“We discovered Amelie's while walking back to our hotel from the St. Patrick's Day street fair in Uptown, and the moment we walked in the door we knew we'd hit the jackpot. It wasn't just the pleasant smell of coffee that pleased the senses, it was also the funky design of the cafe itself and of course, the amazing selection of goodies that greeted us in case.

Everything looked so good, we'd love to have sampled one of each. Since that wouldn't have been a good idea, I decided on the Key Lime tart while my wife opted for a slice of chocolate butter cheesecake. But since one just wasn't enough, we also got a brownie cheesecake brownie to split! All were amazing, especially the brownie cheesecake! We can't wait for our next trip to Charlotte so we can sample some of the other offerings.

Also ordered a strawberry 🍓 speciality donut, missed the name but was pretty much an apple fritter. Love the idea but a bit too sweet, wouldn't order that one again personally!

“This place is pretty good. The interior decor and atmosphere are fun and unusual. The drinks were fair. Pastry a little tougher than anticipated.
Service runs slow as they need to figure out their system. First you get the pastries, then at the end of the line you order drinks, which is what takes the longest and should instead be first. Fix this.

Linda was so wonderful, texting us and keeping us up to date on timing throughout the day and couldn’t have been nicer.
