“Visiting this restaurant for the 1st time during their 1 year anniversary was a nice combination. Their free sampler plate (Mac-n-cheese, cauliflower wings, meatless meatloaf, jackfruit barbecue and chicken fried shrooms) was a perfect way to try their awesome menu. Everything was flavorful with a nice texture. Also, I enjoyed their delicious berry smoothie sweetened with dates. Topping everything off with their desserts, Moscato cakes (plain and Blueberry) and sweet potato pie, was a must.“

“We had a party of 5 at the Artisan’s Palette last night and had a fantastic experience. We were seated right away and, despite an extremely busy dining room, our server came to our table right away and had our drinks to the table before we knew it. The margarita, wines, and mocktails were all so delicious. Dinner was top notch. We started with the seasonal kalettes and followed with burrata salad (loved this), wine-poached pear salad, shrimp and artichoke salad, olive tapenade (a personal favorite), skillet spoonbread, butternut squash and curried pear soup (smooth and a little spicy), the NY strip and the lamb shank vindaloo. All amazing dishes. The chef visited our table at least three times and was delightful. You can tell that her heart and soul goes into this place and its dishes. “Great idea for a restaurant that should be fully supported by the community, with decent food and nice atmosphere, but with slow service during busy lunch times (that can be excused as most of the staff are from the rescue mission). I had the New Orleans chicken sandwich with a side of home fries. The sandwich was huge, but was not sauced as expected, since the order was mixed up and they had put the sauce on the side. The staff is being trained so we know going in that service may be slow. Other orders like the French toast were delicious. I will be back to support this restaurant with their hopeful message.“
“This is the absolute best coffee I’ve ever tasted!! It’s smooth and rich with great flavors. Even the Decaf is wonderful. I tend to crave coffee at night but have never found a decaf coffee that isn’t bitter and nasty. This decaf has all the flavor and richness of regular coffee. I cannot express how great tasting this coffee is. I don’t drink alcohol so coffee is my comfort and this is the best I’ve ever had!!!“

Next the barista, not sure of her name was she was super sweet and gave me patience and explanation when ordering. The restrooms are gender neutral, safe, fully stocked and clean. Then the roaster/machines on the side I found super intriguing and Rory- thank you so much, what an awesome human! Explained coffee and the process in detail that I could understand- it was definitely an intro, but extremely interesting nevertheless and allowed me to take some photos and video. The food and drinks were delicious. My partner had a blueberry muffin and I had the cereal milk matcha latte- so so sooo good. I asked for whipped cream as I was comparing to Starbucks- silly old me- Night Swim puts Starbucks to shame!!! One sip and no whipped cream necessary like literally so good!! The blue berry muffin is vegan- matter of fact I think everything is vegan there and my friend didn’t save me any- it was that good! lol.. i also had the everything bagel and seasonal chive cream cream. The bagel was a bit salty, but i like salt so that works for me. Someone else may say otherwise so heads up for that. The cream cheese was very fresh and spot on- rivals New York Bagel Shop cream cheese!! Kudos!! Thank you for making my day! So glad we decided to take the detour on the way to work!! When you walk through the former grocery store doors, you're in that hole-in-the wall restaurant where you just fit in... maybe not physically (it's super small inside), but it's a great place. The staff is nice and fun even if they don't speak a lot of English. Brazilian shows are on the TV, and there are lots of interesting snacks you can pick up if you want to try something new.As for the food... I really don't know what kind of magic they have in that tiny kitchen, but I've never had a breakfast sandwich or orange juice taste that fresh and delicious. It's eggs, yall.... why was it so good??!? On a previous trip I ordered the the hand pies. They were much larger than Mexican, etc. empanadas, and the crust was really light and flaky. Everything else I tried out of my friend's to go box was tasty, as well. Tge tuxedo cake is our absolute favourite.The store manager was very receptive and helpful in resolving the mixup described below and expedited a new cake for us on the house.I placed an order online using Toast - the recommended service - and they gave the WRONG cake (even though we called ahead to check if it was prepared)! We ordered a chocolate cake (tuxedo) but were given a vanilla salted caramel cake. We are all so disappointed when we checked at home. We really enjoyed the chocolate cake the last time we got it and were looking forward to it.“

“I stopped in here after traveling by many times and never stopping. One day, I was running too late to go to another coffee shop, so I decided to stop by, and now this is my favorite coffee shop. The ambiance is minimalist and modern with a Nordic aesthetic. The staff is super sweet and hip, which adds to the overall vibe. Every time I get a hot, oat milk matcha latte with maple cardamom syrup. It is the perfect ease into your morning and tastes like a warm hug. I also LOVE their food. The tomato feta quiche is out of this world, as is the bacon, egg, and cheese on everything bagel. Both were suggested to me by the barista and were spot-on. The flavors are divine. The other thing that the baristas introduced me to was the Odeko app, which is the order-ahead platform they use that caters to increasing patronage at local coffee shops. Brilliant! Great spot tucked near Optimist Park and easily accessible at the 25th Street Light Rail stop.“

“I really liked this cafe in North Charlotte, so I was super-psyched to learn that a second location of this cafe opened on Pineville-Matthews Road! The place itself turned out to be much nicer and bigger than anticipated...with plenty of comfy seatings. They also played metro lounge overhead music (Loved!). BTW, the counter service was great...and the foods came out pretty quickly! I ordered their Bulgogi Bahn Mi, which came with a ton of Kimchi (on a lightly toasted buns!)...and Popcorn Chicken...and both were amazing! Loved every bite of both!! The pictures really don't do justice to just how delish these were! The Food Blogger in me was disappointed in the cheap paper and plastic presentation, but the deliciousness kind of made up for it on this occasion. I can go on, but I'll keep this one somewhat short (for once lol!), and just say that I'm a fan, and that I'll most definitely be back for more!“
