“We recently chose Sweet Cakes Bakery to provide cupcakes for our wedding. While the cupcakes were generally okay, they were unfortunately a bit dry. However, the icing was delicious and looked lovely.

The communication with Sweet Cakes Bakery was excellent; they were always helpful and responsive. The tasting experience was pleasant, though it felt a bit disorganized. It would have been nice to meet the owner or have them conduct the tasting, as the employee assisting us was unsure of a few details.

The impressive variety of flavors was a delightful touch, adding to the overall experience. Although there is some room for improvement, especially in ensuring the cupcakes are moist and the tasting process is more organized, Sweet Cakes Bakery contributed to making our day special.“

Not only did they complete the cake with the image we wanted, but they did so beautifully! “I have had Small Cakes full and mini sized cupcakes from both the Durham and Huntersville locations on a few occasions. The mini's are my favorite because I like to sample a few different flavors with less guilt than eating like a dozen full sized cupcakes LOL! My order of two dozen custom cookies was a beautiful addition for my daughter's baby shower. I ordered from the Huntersville location. The process was swift and professional. I spoke with the bakery owner personally about my vision. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted, but she was patient and resourceful enough to offer an array of options. After a few inspirational pictures and a quick online ordering process I was good to go. On the day of pick up, the Huntersville location baker called to remind me about the order. He was not there when I came to collect the goodies, but an energetic associate working the register greeted me with a smile. I was super excited to see the final product and so were our guests. The cookies were all the rave at the baby shower. We chose a vintage Winnie the Pooh Bear Tea Party theme so the cookies were a perfect treat. The individual wrapping made decor and distribution very easy. Most importantly, the cookies were delicious. The combination of tastes in the icing and the actual cookie was spot on. Sweet, but subtle. Guests were slow to devour the whole cookie but only because they were admiring the culinary craftsmanship of each small treat. We ate them slowly while sipping tea. It was reminiscent of scenes in a classic Pooh and Christopher Robbins book for sure lol. The cookies were not just a good treat, but helped create a great vibe. “Great people, easy dock to get to. Snow/ice removal leaves alot to be desired in the dock area. Someone is going to get seriously hurt on the ice before it is taken care of. Trailer kept sliding away from the door. They need some ice melt and or sand.“

“I've yet to had a bad experience here, and I've been going off and on for over four years. Staff are always friendly, even if there is sometimes a language barrier, they are always quick to resolve problems. Food is pretty good, sometimes the bagels are a touch hard on the outside, but generally they're really fast. They also recently redid their lobby with some white paint.

Parking: They're in a shared mall type of deal, sometimes on weekends or busy mornings it might take a bit to find a spot.“
