“The restaurant is beautiful, clean and the view is great. Where it looses a few stars is in service. I asked the server about an entree I was considering. The Cioppino sounded interesting but I didn't want anything too rich. She said it was a heavy, filling meal because it was served over pasta. I almost didn't order it but decided I could just eat half and take the rest home. There was no pasta in the dish! Staff shouldn't describe dishes they are unfamiliar with! I almost passed up an incredible meal. A simple, “I'm not sure, I'll ask” would have been the way to go. Because I took a risk, dinner was terrific. A good server doesn't make it up. The chef would not be happy.”

“I welcome this new place. It is very convenient. The salads and Mezze platter are nice, The gyros and Pita sandwiches are average. Tonight for my take-away order which included my "traditional lamb gyro", there were way too many onions, too much tzatziki sauce, the lamb seemed a bit undercooked, and the pita seemed to be just out of a package and my "hand-cut fries were very soggy. Al though they were part of a take-away order, they were just ordered very shortly before. I believe that this place will be around for a long time as to the novice, it is very good. I am just a picky person that has been lots of places and eaten at lots of places as well. I wish the best of luck. I will still be eating there occasionally, but more salads and things like the mezze platter.”

“This is my new ice cream joint. Less expensive and much better quality than anyone. The flavor listing is exhaustive and they have all been good. My only gripe is that they don’t have indoor seating.

Parking: There isn’t much parking in the corner lot, especially if the Cyclebar is open and having classes.”

“Mostly great, but the last two times when I get my order to work it hasn’t been correct. I was charged extra but did not receive them. Also when I schedule a pick up time and get to the store to pick it up there isn’t anyone up front to give me my order and I had to wait and on several occasions I had to yell for someone to hear me and come up to give me my order. This has made me late for work many times.”

“I never felt the need to post a review, this is a place that's been around a long time, in fact the day I found out I was having my 1st child 22 years ago was my 1st time here. The need for a review now cause I've been meeting friends here the past few friday nights and the service is absolutely the worst. The front of the house employees are sour and unfriendly. It gives i hate my job. The soup on Fridays if you can get any is really good, the scraped up mess served my friend could fill a tea cup, they charged for it instead of saying, hey we are out!? Tables left dirty, I feel like I'm bothering thos restaurant by asking for the bare minimum. Cmon”

“It was our first time trying Mac’s Speed Shop. Regan, the hostess, is just delightful! She set the tone for the rest of our visit.

I immediately told my husband Mac’s Speed Shop gives me the Patrick Swayze roadhouse vibes.
It’s fun!

Karis our server was also very attentive & friendly! She described each of the sauces as well. We decided to share a brisket topped nachos. It was more than enough for two. We didn’t order the traditional barbecue, that would be something we would like to come back & try.

The manager Lily is just wonderful and Hector who happened to make our brisket nachos takes pride in his work and came out to say hello to us. That was really nice!

This Mac’s Speed Shop recently put in a few pool tables, and I also noticed a few dart boards.

Live music was about to start, but we had a long day and didn’t stay.

We were also told that Wednesdays are Jeep nights & it’s a popular event.

“I’ve been going to D9 for a long time. I have always enjoyed their Cornelius location. It was the first brewery I tried when I moved to NC. My go to is Swell Rider. It was shockingly not busy for the first hour and half they were open on a Saturday before we headed out. They usually have a food truck and events going on. A good bit of parking for people not in the immediate area which is a big plus.”

“Really enjoyed the food here! It was quick and fresh. The flavors were really great. I got the tofu with vegetables and the tofu was cooked perfectly! The Crab Rangoons were so crispy and yummy. The portion size is really good. Both me and my husband had enough to take home. The atmosphere isn’t like a fancy sit down restaurant or anything, it’s more like a whole in the wall but it’s a good find. They did bring the food to us but other than that they weren’t like waiting on us. They mostly have to-go orders.”

They are so unbelievably fast as they advertise that they are.One of the things I really like is that they pull out some of the bread in the middle to allow for meat and toppings.It is just a really good sandwich. It’s a mixture of how awesome the fresh made bread is and just how they got their business system together and get you in and out quickly.I haven’t had one bad experience here and eat here several times a month, usually when I’m very tight for time and need to get something to eat, this is my go to place at the lake.”

“I was up in Cornelius, NC, and I was in the mood for tacos! After all, it is Tuesday.
El Toro is a good Mexican restaurant in the "Shops on the Green" center. There are some other food choices in the center, but tacos were my choice.
I had the carne asada Taco plate, and it was delish!
The atmosphere gave me a taste of Old Mexico with the Mariachi and other Hispanic music playing in the background, as well as the World Cup playing on the TV.
I was greeted with a smile, welcomed, service was excellent.
I will definitely come back here.”

“I ordered take out. Service was clear and fast. If you have a queasy stomach, get the Vegetable Pho. It doesn’t have the high fat broth like regular pho, and all ingredients are separate from the broth so you can add or omit whatever. I also got a regular Thai tea. I can’t wait to try the Pad Thai when I’m feeling better!

Vegetarian options: I’m not a vegetarian, but you can basically omit meat from anything.”
