“Enjoyed a fabulous meal last night with our friends. The restaurant is in an older antique home in Huntersville close to the highway. We were greeted at the door by the host/owners very friendly and sat with our group of seven in a small very private area ( as are most) in a series of dining rooms very nicely furnished with comfortable chairs. Our hostess immediately came over and took our drink order. There was a large selection of wines by both glass and bottle and both cocktails and regular beverages served from a large bar at the rear of the restaurant. The menu selections were wide and varied and the hostess informed us of three additional special entrees for the evening . For appetizers we ordered garlic bread with a traditional dipping oil and calamari with red sauce both were great . All the entrees were served together and were the best Italian food we have tasted outside of Italy anywhere. A lot of there sauces , desserts and breads are made on premises. There was water goblets as soon as we arrived at the table. Service was excellent, food was delicious and remarkable. Would not hesitate to go back. Prices were outstanding . Last visit, I had the lunch portion around 2PM Chicken Capricioso and the chicken was tough, barely any artichoke. This review was more of a heads up to the kitchen. I was kind on the “4” rating for the dish, as your dishes are typically wonderful. Also, our waiter was too busy socializing to notice the needs of his other customers.”

Server was respectful and polite. Only problems was ALLLL THE FLIES. Fans were circulating above but not really near tables to serve any purpose other than moving air. Owner/manager greeted everyone which was very nice. But you really got to see what can be done with flies… you could barely get food on your fork up to your mouth before they were all over your plate or trying to get to the fork. That made for an unpleasant dining experience. I’ve never ate on any restaurants outdoor area and flies were that bad.”

“Just want to shout out Jet’s pizza...I (like apparently ever other human in the area) called multiple places this afternoon for a pizza delivery a few hours ahead of when I wanted it, and Jet’s was the third try that could actually do the time I wanted the pizza to arrive. The time came and passed so I called 15 minutes after it was due to ask for an update. I was told that my order hadn’t been assigned to a driver because they got really backed up but it would be out ASAP. I was bummed since we had trick or treat to get crackin on, but I just said “ok thank you” and hung up and told the kids we would play it by ear for adjusted plans around when food got here. Just before 6:00, I get a call from Jet’s profusely apologizing, telling me a fresh pizza order would be to me shortly and my card would not be charged. My pizza arrived perfectly hot and fresh not long after, and my kids still got a full night of trick or treat in...just wanted to shout out Jet’s for this above and beyond gesture as I had NO expectation for such a thing, knowing how crazy all the pizza joints were tonight (10/31/20)”

The staff are super friendly and the space allowed for vendors and activities both indoors and outdoors. The bathroom was very clean and well-kept. The rain cut our event short but the umbrellas on the picnic tables outdoors helped keep our things dry which we were so thankful for! “We had a great experience at Hickory Tavern! From the moment we walked in, the host made us feel welcome. They were friendly, gave us great recommendations, and took the time to tell us about the specials and house favorites, which made it so much easier to decide what to order.

Our waitress was wonderful—pleasant, attentive, and always made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. The manager also stopped by to check on us, which was a nice touch and showed that they genuinely care about their guests’ experience.

“Happenstance discovered Caribbean Hut on lunch outing w/ 5 senior females not familiar w/area restaurants. Original destination twarthed, we opted for C.H. One of our group is originally from Trinidad and remaining 4 had zero to minimal experience w/Caribbean foods. I had stew chicken, one oxtail, two had Talapia, and one afredo pasta. We were all pleasantly surprised with our selections as well as the accompanying vegetables, flavors and spices. A major contributor to our satisfaction was our server Tameka who was very exceptionally accommodating and patient ever warm and smiling as we plied her w/questions while making our selections. She was so helpful even offering tastings and eventually "doggie bags" for leftovers. We were there for some time w/no indication that we were over staying. I would definitely return.”

“Exceptional Dining Experience at Que Onda Original!

We'd heard rave reviews about the original Que Onda restaurant, and our curiosity was piqued. Although we'd tried many of their dishes at other locations, we were eager to explore new options. The birria torta and birria ramen exceeded our expectations. The generous serving of tender, juicy meat was perfectly seasoned. The drinks were also very amazing and thirst quenching.

What truly stood out, however, was the restaurant's warm and inviting atmosphere. Even though this is the oldest Que Onda restaurant, it still holds its own homey charm - a true testament to the owners and manager's dedication to preserving its authentic character.

We'll definitely be back for more! Highly recommend trying their unique dishes. Service and quality were top-notch!”

“Great spot with a wide variety of Asiain dishes to hit a families cravings. IMO their Thai dishes are their strength, all of the curry (red, masaman etc) are fantastic and flavorful. My wife loves their Pad Thai. The Thai coconut soup may be the best Ive ever had, a little sweet, a little spicy, a little creamy, very delicious. The drunken noodles was a little disappointing, lacking some flavor.
The standard Chinese we've tried (sesame chicken, General TSOs etc.) were all good, not great. It will satisfy a craving, but won't win any awards, though the Lo Mein was actually quite good.
Also we've only done takeout so can't speak to the dining in experience.
Overall a fantastic Thai place and decent Chinese and others. Worth a try for your Asian food cravings.”
