“We had a wonderful dining experience. My biggest concern was I needed to have gluten free bread/ and other gluten free items. I was grateful that I was able to reach out ahead of time and was told they could accommodate me. Everything I ordered, the waitress made sure that she told me ahead of time whether it was gluten free. Our waitress did a wonderful job and so did the others servers that stopped by to refill water . We had the special $44 which was plentiful and I am glad that it supported a worthy cause. I live out of town, but we go to The Melting Pot for special occasions when I am in town.”

“Enjoyed a fabulous meal last night with our friends. The restaurant is in an older antique home in Huntersville close to the highway. We were greeted at the door by the host/owners very friendly and sat with our group of seven in a small very private area ( as are most) in a series of dining rooms very nicely furnished with comfortable chairs. Our hostess immediately came over and took our drink order. There was a large selection of wines by both glass and bottle and both cocktails and regular beverages served from a large bar at the rear of the restaurant. The menu selections were wide and varied and the hostess informed us of three additional special entrees for the evening . For appetizers we ordered garlic bread with a traditional dipping oil and calamari with red sauce both were great . All the entrees were served together and were the best Italian food we have tasted outside of Italy anywhere. A lot of there sauces , desserts and breads are made on premises. There was water goblets as soon as we arrived at the table. Service was excellent, food was delicious and remarkable. Would not hesitate to go back. Prices were outstanding . “First time visiting this location of Red Rocks. Saturday afternoon was very attentive. No seating inside at time of visit so was seated outdoors.. which we didn’t mind. Server was respectful and polite. Only problems was ALLLL THE FLIES. Fans were circulating above but not really near tables to serve any purpose other than moving air. Owner/manager greeted everyone which was very nice. But you really got to see what can be done with flies… you could barely get food on your fork up to your mouth before they were all over your plate or trying to get to the fork. That made for an unpleasant dining experience. I’ve never ate on any restaurants outdoor area and flies were that bad.”

“Not traditional New York style but the BEST we've had since moving here. We've tried many other Chinese restaurants that had favorable ratings but they were very disappointing. I was surprised, though, that Bao Bao charges extra for white rice with the entrees and no crispy noodles are served with the soup. Also, I personally prefer whole spare ribs but the cut ribs in sweet and sour sauce were good. Different, but good. No egg rolls, just spring rolls. The shrimp with walnuts is outstanding!”

I ordered a whole slab and the 3 side "tray" for $7.99. I had the green beans, baked beans and corn pudding. Loved the green beans, baked beans were more "zingy" than sweet but not bad and I like my corn pudding sweeter but it was definitely corn pudding. Ribs were tender. My son had the brisket sandwich with a side of the hand punched fries and okra. He enjoyed it. And the few fried I swiped were delicious. If you're in the mood for BBQ give this place a try.”

Kid-friendliness: They were so entertained here!! Often times, most Restaurants, with kids in tow, is very stressful and iPads are a must. Of course, this was different. they loved the entertainment while eating and engagement from the chef. (No iPads needed!)”

The pizzas are baked to perfection, and I will be a returning customer.Thank goodness the location is close to home.Also,the garlic parmesan wings are baked and not fried!!! And to call each week to see if it was a special well today was my lucky day! I called and it was on special! “I have had Small Cakes full and mini sized cupcakes from both the Durham and Huntersville locations on a few occasions. The mini's are my favorite because I like to sample a few different flavors with less guilt than eating like a dozen full sized cupcakes LOL! The flavors are all yummy and the icing is always dee-lish-ousssss. Recently, I ordered a different delicious item- the sugar cookies! My order of two dozen custom cookies was a beautiful addition for my daughter's baby shower. I ordered from the Huntersville location. The process was swift and professional. I spoke with the bakery owner personally about my vision. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted, but she was patient and resourceful enough to offer an array of options. After a few inspirational pictures and a quick online ordering process I was good to go. On the day of pick up, the Huntersville location baker called to remind me about the order. He was not there when I came to collect the goodies, but an energetic associate working the register greeted me with a smile. I was super excited to see the final product and so were our guests. The cookies were all the rave at the baby shower. We chose a vintage Winnie the Pooh Bear Tea Party theme so the cookies were a perfect treat. The individual wrapping made decor and distribution very easy. Most importantly, the cookies were delicious. The combination of tastes in the icing and the actual cookie was spot on. Sweet, but subtle. Guests were slow to devour the whole cookie but only because they were admiring the culinary craftsmanship of each small treat. We ate them slowly while sipping tea. It was reminiscent of scenes in a classic Pooh and Christopher Robbins book for sure lol. The cookies were not just a good treat, but helped create a great vibe. As pop culture would phrase it, Small Cakes understood the assignment. Thank you for making our baby shower celebration all the more sweet! -Another Satisfied Customer”

“First time there tonight to pick up takeout. I believe a previous review said their chicken fried rice had not much chicken. I have experienced the same with the chicken lo mein. Very few pieces of chicken in it. Would suggest they consider adding more since people notice, but even still I think the price is fair. Good flavor also, not super greasy or anything.

Another complaint I have is how it costs $1.00 just to order online. It’s listed as a service fee. In this day and age with how many online ordering options we have, customers don’t really like paying service fees for it. I do understand this is a small business though and I’m tolerant of that. Just wish they had built it into the price of the food or something as it’s rough to see. Kind of like how people would rather spend $10 more on merchandise than pay $5 shipping fees. Just my two cents. Would return.

“I recently picked up a cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes in Birkdale Village, and I was blown away by the incredible frosting job done by Sophie! The cake was not only delicious, but the frosting was smooth, creamy, and perfectly decorated. Sophie's attention to detail and skill are truly impressive. She took a already amazing cake to the next level. The staff was friendly and helpful, but Sophie's frosting skills are the real MVP. If you need a cake, ask for Sophie to work her magic! Can't wait to come back and try another one of her beautifully frosted creations!”

“I went in on a Fri night, and the place was empty, which was fine since I didn't know what I wanted. The girl with blue hair prepared my salad. She was very pleasant which is rare these days! She smiled, and made my salad and didn't care that I did a substitute. She was fast and efficient, but also took her time to make sure the salad looked presentable. If I wanted fast food, I would go through a drive through! I was pleased with my salad and especially my service. I do wish they offered GF wraps though.

The chicken has nice spices and was both Krispy and Krunchy . They also good fries and a dazzling array of dipping sauces. So if you are thinking about having disgusting KFC stop by here and have a good meal .”

Now, let’s talk about the peppers. Those little slices of hellfire disguised as mild peppers? Yeah. I thought they were cute until they set my mouth on a joyride of regret and exhilaration?. I wasn’t ready, but I can’t say I didn’t enjoy the ride. It was like they sprinkled a dash of “are you sure you’re tough enough?” on the shrimp—and apparently, I was barely tough enough.

Even though I ordered plain rice and got rice with beans, it was all good. I didn’t know I needed that extra flavor boost in my life, but now I might dream about it. The plantains were perfectly sweet and golden, basically a dessert that’s trying to pretend it’s a side dish.

Bonus points to the staff who were so nice they’d make you think you walked into your grandma’s kitchen. When I called my sister to declare this our new Caribbean spot, I was 99% sure I heard angels singing. Last time I had oxtail this good was in DC, but sorry, DC—this place is my new flavor soulmate.”

I was told that my order hadn’t been assigned to a driver because they got really backed up but it would be out ASAP. Just before 6:00, I get a call from Jet’s profusely apologizing, telling me a fresh pizza order would be to me shortly and my card would not be charged. My pizza arrived perfectly hot and fresh not long after, and my kids still got a full night of trick or treat in...just wanted to shout out Jet’s for this above and beyond gesture as I had NO expectation for such a thing, knowing how crazy all the pizza joints were tonight (10/31/20)”

I order the wonton soup and fried rice if it's not to my taste I stay away. But this place has beyond surpassed my requirements. So much flavor and just the right if not better flavore. I'll be exploring there menu as long as I can.”
