Great barbecue place I'm glad that I tried. The portions are large. The meat was tender and flavorful. I had the brisket and the turkey which I had enough left over for another meal. The corn pudding and potato salad were great The macaroni and cheese was pretty average. I wish cornbread was an option instead of the Texas toast. Would definitely try this place again I was very pleased with the service and how quick the food came out.
Ive had this place a few times and quite honestly its the best bbq Ive had since moving to Charlotte almost 3 years ago now. I havent been very impressed with the food scene in CLT but this restaurant (and location) hasn’t disappointed me. Even my mom has made it a staple every time she visits. We love the beef brisket, fried okra is chefs kiss, the mac & cheese is pretty good (didnt care for the U City locations mac and cheese) and the cornbread was nice as well! Would recommend!

My favorite BBQ restaurant in Charlotte. They were open in Charlotte through most of COVID-19 with curbside service. Excellent menu items and sides. For families, you can't beat the Motherlode!!
