“It was my first visit. I am originally from Milwaukee and addicted to KOPPs custard. I have not been able to find good at real frozen custard in the two previous states I lived in. I tried other custard here in Charlotte but Whits is definitely custard. It was worth the 20 minute drive to try it for the first time. I was upset with myself for getting a kid size strawberry sundae with pecans and bananas. It was very good. I got a cone for the road. The two young ladies on staff were awesome, friendly, patient and helpful. They knew about what they were selling. One told me that I would probably like it after sharing my disappointment with custard on my travels. She said it’s based in Ohio which is a Midwest state. I have now finally found my go to frozen custard place, Whits. I would definitely recommend Whits if you have not tried it. They have delicious custard and great service.“
“On a road trip from Ohio to Florida, this place was but a stone's throw away from our hotel. We had seen numerous billboards showcasing Cook Out since entering North Carolina, yet had never heard of this regional chain, so we were both hungry & intrigued. After dining here, I now want the chain to move into Ohio because it is fantastic. The value is incredible, and the interior is decorated very nicely. But there was one part of our meal that pushed this to 5 stars. The chicken. I have never seen a fast food restaurant take a full chicken breast, chargrill it, and it still remains moist and tender. It was absolutely incredible.“
“A small spot great for take-out, a quick bite, or to have a solid meal or small plates with your drinks as they also have a full bar. Service was spot on and very attentive. Food is mostly a mix of sandwiches and food from the frier, but dang is it delicious with some nice surprises with mixing american and asian flavors. Highly recommend the cheese steaks and chief amount them was a cheese steak made with Korean bulgogi. We will definitely be back!“
“Welp! I'm in North Carolina and I wanted a slaw dog. This place lived up to the reviews and more! I love the variety of hot dog & chili options. My daughter doesn't eat beef but because they have turkey options I'm sending her here. Chili....great, slaw...great, buns...great and don't even get me started on the honey bun cake! YUM! Sorry there's no pics but this girl kept going after the first bite. I'm not gonna lie, I'm in town for 3 more days and yup, I'll be back tomorrow. They are good!“
“I know I know I'm late to the party. But I finally took a chance and ordered the TikTok burger. So basically, it's the Five Guys grilled cheese, and burger. Don't walk run to five guys. It was so bomb I mean the bread was buttery and the burger was cooked to perfection. My only gripe is that I got a patty melt, fries and drink and spent $22 other than that 10 out of 10.“
“Great cozy place hidden in plain view. Very fresh ingredients and caring staff. This made for a great first impression. Chimmycurri fries were crispy and very yummy. Green sauce is cilantro, parsley, garlic and olive oil. Very good. Cucumber salad and the wurst bruat you'll ever want.“
“Five Guys consistently impresses with its top-notch food quality. The burgers are juicy and flavorful, showcasing the freshness of the ingredients. However, what truly steals the show are their handmade french fries. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and seasoned to perfection, these fries elevate the dining experience to a whole new level. The commitment to handcrafting each order ensures a mouthwatering, memorable meal that's hard to beat.“
“I took my friend and his wife to this place and it was an awesome experience. The double cheeseburgers with mushrooms, grilled onions, lettuce and tomatoes was delicious. And the fires were endless.Vegetarian options: My friend had the veggie burger.“
