My first visit to the Hickory Tavern with my sister. Both of our first reactions were the restaurant was very cold. We both had to keep our coats on as we ate. The food was excellent and the service great. I got one of the specials which was a pulled pork sandwich which came with one side. For my side I chose the onion rings. (2/5/24) Ihad the opportunity to visit Hickory Tavern this evening with a colleague. It wasn't very crowded for a late Monday night. My colleague ordered a Freedom Burger and I had a Diablo Burger. I was looking forward to it actually being spicy, but it wasn't. The burger itself was juicy and cooked medium. It was accompanied by a small portion of sweet potato fries. The bartenders are lovely and give great service! But, the manager is not giving quality service vibes and ignored us for several minutes while we sat at the bar waiting for service (the bartenders were busy helping other patrons). He could have easily said: hey folks, we'll be right with you! But, he continued to talk about basketball with other bar guests.
