Hickory Tavern offers great service from friendly bartenders, though the manager may need improvement. The restaurant itself was chilly, but the food was excellent and the service prompt. A pulled pork sandwich with onion rings was tasty, despite the surprise upcharge for the side. The Diablo Burger was juicy, though not as spicy as expected, served with sweet potato fries. The atmosphere was quiet and conducive to conversation in the large bar area with high tables and metal stools. While the experience had its ups and downs, there is potential for a return visit to explore more of the menu options.
