“Choplin's has been my favorite local restaurant for years. It never disappoints. They're also great about offering substitutions and modifications due to my food allergies. We had the filets and they were cooked and seasoned beautifully. Sides (fries and brussel sprouts) and drinks were delicious and generously sized.“
“Our server Douglass was funny and very attentive. The fries were so good and the portions large. I didn't expect them to have alcohol but they did! My salad was good but next time I think I'd go for a regular salad instead of a grilled one, (my lettuce was kinda soggy and brown from them grilling it) but I got what I ordered so I'm not gonna knock them for that. My boyfriends burger was good. I'd definitely come back to try something new we had a good experience. They had a huge menu“
“Absolutely phenomenal! Stopped at once place before on Easter and they had a preset menu, with nothing that looked good for outrageous price. Saved me from plopping near $500, so we searched and found this marvelous little place! Let me tell you something! We ate and ate and ate and ate some more, and the bill was half of what the other place was going to charge!The oysters were so fresh! Saw them being shucked before they made it too our table...so we ordered some more! The grilled oysters were phenomenal! Juicy, cooked perfectly, garlic was just enough! So...we ordered another round! Had the fried platter, and they swapped the Grouper out to Haddock for me, no up charge, so they are here to please! Cevieche was absolutely outstanding! Fresh, bright, crisp and citrus! The blacked dishes were also all gorgeous! We finished out with the keylime tart, it was soo good I stole it all ?? This is definitely and hidden gem and absolutely customer forwarded! Cozy place, beautiful and great atmosphere! Will ABSOLUTELY make this a spot near Lake Norman all the time!“
“I enjoy visiting Port City Club. It is back in the cut of a neighborhood. Reservations don't hurt, especially at the dinner hour as the restaurant gets crowded on weekend nights. They have their own parking lot. Anything on the menu is tasty and their drinks are pretty awesome as well. If you have questions, ask your server. They have live music on Saturday nights.“
“This was awesome place to go. It was my first time. We had a work event there. We were in a private room. The food and service were impeccable. I am a pescatarian, and had so many choices. Crab cakes, shrimp, gnocchi, salad. And those who ate the beef medallions said they were delicious. As was the alcohol beverages. I highlighted recommend. But you will have to climb many steps to the door and I don't know if there was another entrance. Plenty of parking when we went but you are sharing with golfers so I could see on a busier day it getting full fast.“

“We’ve been here a couple times and the food is always good. We’ve noticed that service has diminished since our first visit and I can’t really explain it. Last time we were there it really wasn’t very busy, but barely seen our server. Had to get other servers to help on a couple occasions. Hopefully they can get the service back to where it used to be so it’s as good as the food.Great location right on the lake. Parking can get interesting if it’s a busy day and you’re not there early.“

“We had excellent service on Thursday 12/14. We had 7 people at the high top tables in the bar. The waitress was awesome and didn't miss a beat. The food was good for the price. We got the filet special. The music was extremely loud and we couldn't hear each other talk. It could have been taken down a notch or two and still be loud. But they dud seat us in the bar. I just felt bad for my dad who has hearing aids. I will be back and wished I could remember the waitresses name because I would love to request her again“
“The management and the staff at this location are top notch. We had an excellent experience last night. Food was superb. Customer service was impeccable. There was a mixup in the kitchen that really didn't even affect our order that much and they comped us for the item anyway and provided free dessert. We were returning to this location without the free items, but it was appreciated nonetheless.“

“I met co-workers for lunch, what a great place. The menu consists of sandwiches, soups and salads, perfect for a light lunch. The small market is nice too. I had the Bacon, butter lettuce, pimento cheese sandwich on cornbread,. Wow, what a mix of flavors. If you are a BLT fan, you have to try it. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. There may be a small line at peak lunch, but it.moves steadily. If you are visiting or live in Davidson, NC, I reccomend you give it a try!“

“Small but nice bar with tasty food. The bar was a little busy so I didn't get noticed. Did have to wait a little on table despite reservations, but not a big issue. Just be warn that weekends can be crowded. This is a small place compared to other resturantes. Would advise reservations ahead of time during prime hours. Beer in cans was very cheap and portions of food was just right. Food is pub fair, with a mixture of higher entres. Would eat here again.“

The noise level made conversation difficult for senior people so you may want to arrive early, or have a late lunch.Beware of upstairs. “Service was amazing and staff was so welcoming and attentive! Called about the patio being pet friendly and hostess knew it was me when I came in the door. We were seated promptly and another staff members showed my partner and pups to the patio. The pups received the royal treatment! Food presentation was perfect and drinks came out swiftly and were very tasty. I got the eggs Benedict and espresso martini. My partner got the huevos rancheros and Negroni. Potato hash could’ve been a little warmer and seasoned a bit more but nothing some salt and pepper couldn’t fix. Can’t wait to come back and try more food!“

“I'm not sure how to rate the atmosphere. It's a nice, clean looking dining area so seems good for a restaurant. They say everybody is your server and they mean it. Very attentive and helpful staff. Just about everything in the breakfast menu is great. I think the sausage patties are the frozen variety and the grits a bit watery for my taste. Bacon is amazing. Would like to see fresh sausage. The lunches I've had were very good too. Sandwiches were enough for two meals. I recommend the club sandwich. It's a bit pricey. Worth it, but just saying“

“Great draft selection and they even had cyser (a style of mead) on draft! We ordered the burgers and asked for one medium and one medium rare. They got the temp perfect. The fries were really delicious and crispy but the real winner was the sweet potato fries. Crispy and soft and some of the best I have ever had. Also, nice outdoor eating area when the weather is nice.Parking: Large parking lot but this place stays pretty busy so lot is often crowded. You might not park right by the door.“

Since I don't eat meat and very little fish there was not an entree for me. But the appetizers were fantastic so those and a salad were perfect.
