“This is always our choice for dinner or lunch out. The service is impeccable. The food is exquisite and consistent. You can’t have a mediocre meal here. Everything from apps, salads, wine, crafted beverages, entrees to coffee and dessert is absolute perfection. The crab cakes are my go to. My family ran a crab company for over 65 years here in NC and when I tell you these are the best crab cakes you’ll ever have, I’m not kidding. Zero binder-just sweet, jumbo lump in every bite. They are to die for. You can’t miss the cast iron corn bread with cheddar, jack, and chiles either. That honey drizzle…?…Chef’s kiss! The salads are always cold, crisp, and fresh. My “can’t miss” dessert is the banana cream pie topped with caramel, chocolate sauce, and cacao nibs. The barrel cut filet is top tier as well. 131 Main knows how to offer a fabulous dining experience. We’ve never had anything but stellar service. Last night Morgan was absolutely incredible! We love her! The restrooms are always clean and well stocked. The open kitchen concept is a bit of torture-LOL Primarily because the minute you step into the restaurant, the smells are just heavenly! You see flame kissed beef, pork, or chicken on the grill and all of the fresh vegetables. We take home more than we eat because everything is so amazingly delicious. Thank to the BOH, FOH, and management for all of your hard work. I will continue recommending you to everyone I meet! The people I know are already life long customers.“

My sister had flown down for her birthday from a place with no Handle's, and my 83 yo grandmother had driven us up to share in her favorite ice cream, and they truly made our night! They were kind and attentive, and of course, they have absolutely delicious ice cream!! We have been Handle's fans since we were kids; every year we would go visit family in Ohio, and we would always stop at the Handle's there. We were thrilled when they opened locations in North Carolina near our family!! If you are looking for a treat, this is a great spot!“

Food - Had to wait over an hour for food after being told they didn’t have the items we ordered. Brought my husbands food and not mine. Ended up taking mine in a To-go box.

I will say that I really enjoyed this place. It was fun. Everyone was super friendly. Having only one cook on staff during a busy night was probably unplanned so 4 out of 5 stars.“

I don’t understand why would 3.9 for this venue that is superb. I am a fan since day 1 but because I am a local and literally takes me 3 minutes to get there by car I took granted to post something about it. And I don’t review too many places. Each time we go we are happy with our food and service. I must say they have a great turnover of servers as they higher many young people for summer so often running into same server other than countable few that have been working there noone says “ you guys are back” but their managers do. Their managers have been there really long and they come around. Tonight was Darren, I see him long time now. And each time he greets us as if we are family. He is always super kind and hospitable. Kind of person every hospitality business should have. He makes sure the guests are 100% satisfied. Always cordial, always checks to see if all good. I love the Crab Louis salad with its fresh crab meat and micro greens, and gurmet other ingredients. I wish the lettuces are cut smaller. Sometimes each leaf is huge and you need to literally cut it 4-5 times. But so delicious I don’t mind the work. Tonight they were on the smaller size perheaps now it is like that. Small crab legs are awesome which they are out for now. Muscles are spiced just right for me. A bit spicy but that what makes it perfect for me. Every item in the menu is delicious. My son loves their spicy chicken sandwich. The view is stunning. You can dock your boat to their dock and boat gas is available right there too. Next table from us was from Denver and Hickory. Yes, it is worth the drive. ( their yacht club cocktail with mezcal is delicious always- though I did not have any tonight). Thank you sailors!“

“Been driving past this restaurant for years, decided to stop by today and my only regret is that I didn't try this place sooner. The food was easily 10/10, portions were big and prices were very good. For 2 people we paid a total of about 35 dollars and we were absolutely stuffed. The chips and salsa were the best I ever had. This is without a doubt the best Mexican restaurant in the area. The waitress/server was very pleasant and never missed a beat. 20/10 restaurant!“
