We loved the silent movies in the background and watching the hustling of the chefs and servers in the kitchen/prep area — yes, we were in the balcony. 😊 The duck cigars are a favorite so we had to have those. The sea bass cut “like butter” and the shrimp and grits were the best I’ve ever had. Coffees and a slice of their coconut cake topped off a wonderful meal. Thanks Garrett for the attention! “This quaint restaurant located in a charming town..easy quick 5 minutes off the highway..2 minutes back on...soooo WORTH the stop. Soooo fresh, large portions, the Ruben and Chicken salad are some of the best we have had. The staff were Hometown friendly..great atmosphere with a beautiful lake view to sit outside if you choose. Coffee was great- try their roasted Brainstorm!! And to boot they are part of a non-profit group called HOLY ANGELS supporting and providing employment opportunities for the differently able. loved it all!“

“I've grown up with the best of all barbecue styles the Carolinas are known for. Kyle Fletcher's is more enjoyable because it incorporates the best traditions of Eastern NC pit cooking where the wood smoke has heavily perfumed the meat. Since they use pork shoulders only and still have the classic bark cut into it, the pork shoulders in my opinion make the best cut because of the marble and moisture content. Whole hog is wonderful, but it can be hit or miss due to overcooking or dryness. I'll take Kyle Fletcher's over B's in Greenville and pick your favorite around Lexington. The first time I went there the onion rings looks so good but I am gluten-free and onions are problematic. My last visit was on my way home so I took a chance and enjoyed those onion rings more than any I have ever had. Home breaded and fresh cut. They were truly heavenly. Service is more than quick and sufficient. I liked everything. A very small dining area with a line waiting for a table and pick up at the register and doors so there is a little aggravation but not a real bother upon arrival. I'm just a little claustrophobic and don't enjoy standing shoulder to shoulder front to back what's people I love much less strangers lol.“

“We enjoyed our 'dinner' at STATION after going through the Belmont Farmer's market. The food was really good, and fairly fast getting served. You do wait in line a bit to place your order depending upon how busy they are. They are open just limited days and not open until 5 PM then. But everything was really good.“

The friendliness of the staff is hit or miss & I understand we all have bad days or circumstances beyond our control maybe even bad news on occasion, but at work you must learn how to leave it at the door! When a warm personal welcome is given and the cookie is nice & warm those are my fave visits they are the ones that keep me coming back! Make no mistake no one has gone out of their way to be rude or cold 🥶 it’s just written on the face or seen in the body language! “We love love love Lake Norman Brewery! It’s always lots of fun and the music is usually great! Love the ciders….delicious! One thing I don’t like about it….you can never sit at a table. We used to get there 6-6:30 ish and there were usually tables to sit at. Now….they’re ALL reserved! Last night we got there at 6:25 and there were no tables available. They ALL had reserved signs on them. If you’re going to reserve them , there should be a few left over for us folks that wander in…spur of the moment! Just sayin………. We came after dinner last night with our company and didn’t bring chairs…….it was a bummer!🍻“

“We’ve been to Traust twice now for karaoke nights, both times were great!! We had a birthday dinner there with about 25 people in our party, and Megan held it down!! She did awesome at keeping everyone’s drinks full and taking orders as people rolled in. She was attentive and friendly. Last night there was some drama with a strange man dancing around and trying to talk to our kids. Once I mentioned it to our server, she and several other staff members IMMEDIATELY ran this guy off. They do NOT play when it comes to child safety.“
