“This is seriously hands down the best Italian restaurant by a far radius. I’ve lived in NC for over 20 years and regret to not have tried this place sooner. They have the FINEST pasta. EVER. The freshness is profound. You can tell by the taste and texture it is made from scratch! Omg don’t even get me started with their dessert. I don’t even like lemon cake but you can’t not love their’s. Their tiramisu is flippin amazing too and perfection. Their desserts are far better than 5 stars desserts I’ve had! This place is such a steal for the portion, quality, and service. My new favorite restaurant! I can’t believe they don’t have more restaurants across the country. I feel so fortunate it’s not too far from me.“
“I have been to countless Five Guys all over the place and this one was the best one I have ever been to. The restaurant was very clean, the bathrooms were very clean as well. I was greeted on the way into the place by several people and wished a good day on the way out. The young man who took my order got everything right and as I asked I got my fries in a separate bag. The staff was working very well together, orders were being called out and received like clockwork. The other remarkable thing was the whole staff was very friendly, they all said hello to each customer and treated them like they were friends.Strong work Five Guys Hickory, other stores could learn a lot from ya'll!“
“This is one of the few pizza places where you can split a pizza with your whole family, while still satisfying your teenager's hunger! The pizza here is New York-Style, so the slices are huge. Even though they may seem more expensive than other pizza places in the area, the quality and amount of food you get is well worth the price, in my opinion!Staff members are polite and friendly here, going above and beyond the call of duty. I once lost a credit card here, and even though they couldn't find it, they did their very best and wished me the best of luck! The atmosphere isn't bad either... the photographs on the walls are pleasing to the eye, but aren't distracting. It can be hard to hear them call your order number over the music and the noise of the crowd, but I suppose the way they do it now is less disruptive than when they kept fading the music to call the numbers over the speaker. Having the last-called order number on a screen might be helpful, though.I'm knocking off a star because they are no longer available on Grubhub Pickup, and they charge credit card fees if you call it in. But other than that, it's great! Try their stromboli, it's delicious!“
“The manager Kathy and all of the staff were EXTREMELY nice! She went out of her way to tell us about the menu and help my picky eater with their meal to make sure they were satisfied. Can’t brag about the customer service enough. And quality of food is unmatched compared to other local options. Will definitely become a regular stop for me.“
“Came for the sush. Which was, by far, on point. I had ordered the crunchy roll and an eel and asparagus roll. Let me tell you, from the moment my plate showed up, I was immediately impressed. Just the aesthetics alone would have made me come back. But, food is more than just appearances, like a 1960s Mustang it can be appealing all it wants, but it doesn't mean squat if it ain't got the power. Just parts of something that would be better elsewhere.After seeing such a miraculate plate of food, my instinct is to snap the wooden choppy sticks as they are a threat and must be taken down. Using this new tool I have crafted from an elongated wooden forked stick, I am able to slide my daddles in between the carcass of this now decapitated stick system at which I am able to grab these delectable looking little morsels of nutrient enriched protein sush cakes. Navigation of the wooden tool I crafted has created a pinch point for which these little treats are within reach and my daddles can remain clean. There is the option to use the metal utensils that many many people opt for, but I prefer to have the quick snap kill of the wooden choppy stickys.The first bite. Let me tell you. My. Mind. Was. Blownnnnnnn. I had never felt such excitement from the taste of something so raw. The way it was able to sensuate the inside of my mouth was not unwelcomed in the slightest way. The moment it touched my tongue, I felt as if I was going for a ride. And that bite rode me like no person ever could. It had me smelling colors and seeing flavor. I felt transported from this world and I got lost in a euphoria. After a moment and a bit of a sweat sesh, I was able to swallow that bite and feel a rush of pleasure wash over my entire body. I knew that from this moment on, there would never be a person out there that could touch me the way this sushi did.Bottom line. Go. Enjoy the outstanding staff. Get some food that's so good you feel guilty going home to your partner. After that first bite, you can never make that same eye contact with loved ones that you once knew.“
