Rada Reviews
We had the anchovy toast, celery salad, beef tartare, pork sausage w/lima beans and mackerel.

Rada is a vibrant restaurant in Charlotte that offers a unique and refreshing dining experience. Since opening earlier this year, it has quickly become a favorite spot for many, appreciated for its incredible food and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant provides a sophisticated yet versatile environment, suitable for both casual dinners and special celebrations, giving off a neighborhood bistro vibe with eclectic decor.
The menu features interesting dishes that are carefully prepared and thoughtfully balanced. Highlights include the strip loin with au poivre sauce, which is praised for its perfection and generous size of 2 pounds, and the veal tonne, known for its flavor and modern presentation. Other favorites are the meatball skewers with harissa, the Gildas, and the agnolotti. The celery salad, with its crunch and depth from hazelnuts, adds a fresh touch, while the veal Milanese, served with brown butter and house-made breadcrumbs, offers a delightful taste. The restaurant rotates its menu, ensuring variety and freshness.
Rada also excels in drinks, with a standout wine list offering good value and some of the best cocktails in Charlotte. The San Sebastian martini, made with basque pepper brine instead of olive juice, is especially recommended.
Service at Rada is attentive and professional, with knowledgeable staff eager to share details about the menu. The atmosphere is eclectic yet cozy, making guests feel like they’ve met the entire restaurant in just an hour and a half. Overall, Rada is a breath of fresh air in Charlotte’s dining scene, offering a sophisticated, interesting, and welcoming space that stands out from more commercial options.
