“Never disappoints (except when they are out of vegan or regular carrot cake, haha). They have out of this word food and many great vegan, vegetarian, and carnivore options. The vibe is chill and I am never disappointed. This is a hidden gem off Central that closes early, so get there (and check their hours) if you haven’t been. Their food is top tier for veggie comfort food but also if you are looking for healthy options. A lot of their food is named from stable Charlotte spots. 10/10 recommend!“

“Went this morning to pick up an online prepaid order and was prepared to wait in the line that wrapped around the building despite requesting a 30 minute window to get order. Was pleasantly surprised when employee said there were actually separate lines for prepaid and walk-ins. Antoinette (think that’s her name) was incredibly nice and pleasant 🙂 Cashier was also polite and friendly. Order was double checked for accuracy. Social distancing and masks enforced by entire staff. Overall line moved quickly and was back in my car in under 25 mins—which, let’s face it, is a miracle given how 2020 has been going.“

“Owner walked around, greeted customers, engaged in short conversations; wait staff very friendly; service was exceptional. Was prompted to go by an individual that had been before (reputation for good food); found that grill was under new management... Food exceeded expected reputation.“

“These are the best sandwiches in Charlotte that I’ve had in >10 years. No comparison. The only negatives are that the deli is so slammed always because everyone else apparently agrees… and that they’re not open later! But they do have premade/refrigerated sandwiches at least. And the other snacks and drinks in the place are 👌👌. One of the only places i think to recommend people, or miss when I’m not living nearby.“

“Groucho’s Deli at 5110 Park Rd. has a real good thing going. I enjoyed great service there yesterday afternoon. The take out sandwiches and salad were excellent, the order 100% correct, and very fast. Thanks to Bruce Miller for your patience and persistence.“
“On 1/13/26 I stumbled on this shop..I am from NY. I ordered lamb gyro w/sautéed onions and the white sauce (me thinking it is tziki sauce)..it looked good. Fresh..took 1 bite..meat tender, seasoned, but that was not tziki sauce...it tasted more like mayo with little vinegar & seasoning...did not like the sauce at all...I will return & inquire if have to request tziki sauce...but I will definitely try something new..The guy working the front is very friendly & approachable. Recommended..
UPDATE 1/22/26
Went back. Ordered lamb gyro again w/o white sauce..Just sautéed onions...they do not make or have tziki sauce for your gyro....when I explained white sauce taste like mayo (I do not like mayo) he put sauce on the side...still taste like mayo!!!! My review stands..Will return, tey something different...highly recommended..“
