Katz Deli is a must-visit destination for delicious food and a family-like atmosphere. Their pastrami reuben is a standout dish, along with fantastic options like corned beef, lox sandwiches, and hot dogs. The BEC on kaiser rolls from NY/NJ is a favorite, and the latkes (potato pancakes) bring back memories for many customers. The food is consistently excellent, with a pastrami sandwich that will have customers committing a crime. While it may be a little on the expensive side, it's a real New York-style deli experience. Ironically, the restaurant is located in Charlotte, North Carolina, not New York, but the food and service are on par with the renowned Katz Deli in New York.
The small but comfortable restaurant seats about 20 people and has a cozy atmosphere reminiscent of a grandma's kitchen. The staff is friendly and attentive, constantly checking on the customers and ensuring their needs are met. The Reuben is a must-try, with one being enough for a person to enjoy.
