“My absolute favorite place to eat sushi in Charlotte. We drive an hour almost everytime to come here because its the absolute best. Large menu and the best prices in Charlotte. Kept asking for seconds and my bill wasn't any higher than $30 food is fresh and taste is glorious. Great sized servings too!“
“I love sushi. I love craft style hamburgers. I love an eclectic vibe. I love a huge bar with drink options galore. And a fish tank the size of Texas? That too! This place has it all. Visiting the South Park area for the first time, we enjoyed the great vibe of this restaurant and surroundings as well. Parking was a breeze. Even though the place was packed on a Saturday in between lunch and dinner, our wait was less than 5 minutes even though we were told it would be 20-25min.The food here was amazing. Yellowtail appetizer with jalapeño and ponzu sauce, crispy wonton nachos with ahi tuna and pick your own sliders. Sure, a $20 hamburger or $10-$20 sushi isn’t cheap, but the quality and taste of the food reflected the price unbelievably well. The presentation of the food was also top notch. There is no question what type of casual yet upscale, fun and vibrant vibe this place wants to exude, and does it very well. Service? Impeccable. Ambiance? Outstanding. And c’mon, an electronic picture on the wall which resembles a fish tank with fish names such as Oprah Finfrey, Puffer Daddy, Mackerel Jordan and M.C Hammerhead is just priceless.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly!“
“Exceptional booking for a birthday drink and dinner at Hestia. Very nice view and ambiance.Friendly, attentive staff are always near by for questions and service. They were upfront that our drinks may take a few minutes as the bar was busy and they only had a single, new bartender. This was not a problem and was a good heads up, and let us enjoy our view for a little bit, and we had full glasses of water and a menu to look at.We had 2 drinks, 2 apps, and 2 meals. Everything was exceptional in flavor and freshness. My only suggestion is with the scallop appetizer, it was AMAZING but there is only 1 scallop. I'd much rather see a higher priced option with 3 scallops. They treated us very well for a birthday dinner and we will be back. A+ on the food and service.“
“One of the best all around Thai restaurants I have ever been to. The food tastes like you were sitting in a Bangkok restaurant. The Mango sticky rice was the best I've ever has anywhere. The presentation of each dish was quite amazing as was the flavor and atmosphere. I will return soon and highly recommend Deejai Thai for everyone.“
“This place is awesome. The food is super delicious and the prices are in my opinion adequate. The staff is super friendly and attentive. I love coming to this place, small but comfortable and a hidden gem; reminds me of those hole in a wall spots in New York that only the locals know how good it is.“
“Rai Lay Asian Bistro has quickly become my new favorite restaurant for Asian cuisine in the neighborhood. The food is always flavorful and fresh, with standout dishes plus the exquisite sushi and the must-try Thai wings. Never a moment's wait for seating, and the drinks, especially the ginger limeade, are consistently refreshing and well-crafted.The customer service at Rai Lay is second to none, with pleasant and attentive servers who ensure the dining experience is always top-notch. I've had the pleasure of being served by Tiffany on multiple occasions, who strikes the perfect balance between friendly and professional, making us feel taken care of without ever compromising on her excellent service. Despite the speedy service, I never feel rushed to finish my meal, allowing for a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience. The combination of delicious food and unparalleled service keeps us coming back to Rai Lay Asian Bistro week after week, sometimes even twice! It's a testament to not only my love for Asian cuisine but also the exceptional quality that Rai Lay consistently delivers.“
“The restaurant is big and Busy! I really suggest getting there early to put your name on the list a few minutes before they open. Worth it. The place is Loud for Dim Sum (that when we were there, Sunday morning). This place has really on point dim sum which my friend and I are thrilled about. We came from Raleigh and had a concert the night before and wanted to check out what. Charlotte had to offered. I have to tell u to get all the shumai and chicken feet u could get your hands on. The ladies with the carts will push the cart of goodness around every table so it may take a minute: from jelly fish salad to tripe... Very good by the way. We loved everything we had. I didnt see egg tart this trip though. I wish we had this in Raleigh“
“My server her names is Jinny I don’t remember if that’s her exact name but her customer services is on point she’s funny and overly nice and I like that ! this is my first time giving a review which I don’t do because I think it’s a waste of time but definitely go to BONCHON AND LET HER BE YOUR SERVER ! Very expensive I say but food is amazing!“
“My FAVORITE BOBA SHOP + VIET FOOD! Love the variety of menu items and consistency with their entrees. Employees are super personable and offer great recommendations based off your palette. Would highly recommend the vermicelli bowl, knife cut noodles, popcorn chicken & thai coconut milk tea!! Best boba in “
“Great sushi, bento boxes and kids meals. Our service was great and the crazy roll were flavorful. The ginger dressing was fresh and the miso soup was one of my favorites. Our table ordered a variety and were glad to try hibachi and teriyaki entrees. We look forward to more to try.Kid-friendliness: Different options to try“
“Best poke bowl in Charlotte, jokes asideI’ve been trying poke bawl / sushi for more then a year everywhere around Charlotte. This place is the best place you’ll find, trust me.I can post many pictures of the food I had here but I’ll show you one with my empty bowl ? because it is so good I finished it before I realized I could have shared with you.Love the customer service, food is simply delicious, atmosphere like home, clean and tidy ?Recommend ????? 5 stars“
“I defiantly would like more flavor in the food and maybe shouldn’t have ordered tempura style veggies. I envisioned something else in mind and the batter on the veggies filled me very fast. I ended up giving up on the veggies and went for my sushi roll which was delicious. I love Sake and the bartender recommended a nice smooth one for us. I will go check out other locations in town.“
“Ordered hibachi chicken and teriyaki chicken, veggies and fried rice. It is a small restaurant so it's best to do takeout. The food was delicious and I will be ordering from there again. The cleanliness score was great and that means a lot. I took home one of their menus so I can call ahead next time. Might try the Pad Thai with peanuts next time. There are Chinese, Japanese and Thai options available.“
“Love the chinese food here!! Dynamite shrimp was the dynamite of the night, one of the best shrimps ever had. Dynamite roll was fantastic with tempura battered shrimp, signature california roll, sriracha aioli and umami sauce. Hand folded crab wontons with creamy crab filling, bell pepper, green onion and spicy plum sauce was delicious. Coming to entrees, sesame chicken with noodles was my favorite. Crispy honey shrimp with fried rice was good. Miso glazed salmon with brown rice was wholesome and flavorful. Pad thai was fine as I expected little soup poured over it. Coming to desserts, new york style cheesecake and the great wall of chocolate were fantastic. Love the hospitality of the staff, they were extremely friendly. Overall it is a big yes for flavorsome chinese food.“
“By far my favorite Pho place in Charlotte!! Broth is rich and flavorful- no corners are cut making this delicious soup! Service is friendly and gave a Vietnamese vibe. They also have THE BEST SAUCE for the Spring Rolls though offered quantity is limited.“
“Was invited for dinner earlier this week by my friends/former colleagues. I was greeted immediately upon entry and joined my party, which was already seated. Appetizers were tasty, the food came out quickly, the portions generous and our server was nice. The best part is that we were not made to feel rushed nor pushed out after our group lingered substantially after the restaurant closed for the night. We were so busy talking, we hardly noticed. Everyone cleaning up was gracious as we left. I enjoyed the food so much, I’m going again tonight and taking my own family.“
“Drove all the way from Atlanta for the vegetarian momos. Got here at 8:20PM but they close at 8:00PM. Luckily the owner allowed us to order some momos. Nice chill dude. Momos were worth it. They also validate upstairs parking. Thanks Momo Station for a great experience.“
“I was in the area and decided to dine in. The atmosphere is nice and the customer service was decent. I decided to get a curry ramen and the mango green tea boba. The ramen was large in portion and had a variety of veggies and meats however I felt the flavor was lacking. The boba was okay but not the best. One thing I thought was odd was after I was brought my food, I was told to pick up my own utensil in the front. Nonetheless, all in all, it was a decent experience. ?“
“Wonderful sushi and great hot food options. My favorite is Spicy Thai Basil chicken and for sushi I love the Red sake roll as well as the Phoenix roll. The staff is awesome. Have followed Steve and Yisa from Wild East Bistro and happy they are so close by! Give them a try!“
“Decided to visit and have a solo early dinner. I must say I was not disappointed at all. I ordered a miso soup, pineapple yakitori, pork belly yakitori, and the earth and sea roll. Everything was well seasoned, fresh, and absolutely delicious. I never tried Yakitori before, however I promise it won’t be the last time. The cinnamon and pineapple danced on my taste buds. The pork belly was crunch on the outside and tender on the inside. For drinks I enjoyed the watermelon red-bull margarita and a lemon drop martini. The service from the bar staff was attentive and personable. I will absolutely return to try more items on the menu! Highly recommended!“
“I freaking loved it! That Shanghai Noodle meal was THE BOMB and had a kick to it. You could see the stem coming from the bowl minutes after it was delivered. It was so flavorful; the pineapples and their juices added luxury to the taste. The chili peppers ? ? ?. I even made my very own Shanghai Lettuce Wraps, which turned out to be just what the doctor ordered. We also tried the Margherita Pasta bowl...yummy baby! Come check it out. Service and atmosphere were great and loud, which is to be expected. Stonecrest Location“
“An absolute hidden gem! I had what I consider to be the best sushi I’ve had so far in life here. It’s never busy somehow, service is quick, friendly + helpful, and the vibe is lowkey. But the food is nothing short of perfection! Reasonable prices AND an immense selection. My favorite sushi spot in town! ?“
“Food here is amazing, the appetizers were by far the best part of the meal. Not to downplay the rest of the menu, the apps are just that good! Service wasn't the best, but we were in a large group so understandable that things would slip through the cracks. Overall a great experience!Parking: Parking is a garage located behind the restaurant, if restaurant is on your right side, you will take a right onto side street and another right into garage. 90 minutes free parking, be sure to register your vehicle via the QR code.“
“My husband and I love this place! It was one of the first restaurants we visited in Charlotte, and we've been back many times. To start with, the cocktails are amazing! I almost always have the spicy margherita, and my husband is very fond of the espresso martini. I've also sampled the Mystic Basil and Unami Margheritas. Yum! The bartender, Aaron, is friendly and attentive, always ready for conversation if you come in alone. Even the owner, Andrew, is given to mixology on occasion. As to the food, there is definitely an Asian twist, as Japanese food is Chef Nobu's specialty. That being said, he also prepares delicious and healthy bowls with salmon or meat or just veggies. And if you ask, he will make you one of his sushi sandwiches, which are out of this world. Mimi is usually our waitress, and she's great at suggesting go-withs, including something from their thoughtful wine list. And did I mention the free parking? In a neighborhood where you think you might run out of gas before you find a spot, there's plenty of parking out front. They also have live music and DJs occasionally, and a patio out front for dining in good weather. Overall, a great dining experience!Parking: Free parking in front of the building“
“I have found my favorite place to get my Singapore rice noodles! ? it’s tasty and they give me the right level of spice! The atmosphere has a 4 because their dining area is closed and it looks to need some small upkeep. Other than that, if you’re craving some Singapore rice noodles give them a try. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!“
“Unbelievable Szechuan food. A hidden gem. The menu has some authentic cuisine and some less challenging fare for those with a less curious palate.. Service is great as well.Update: Beware of takeout! Your bill will automatically be added the service fee with no option for you to make a decision.“
“One poor woman was handling the entire dining room. She did an excellent job, so she’s not to blame. They could have been short staffed. The sushi was delicious. The sesame entree was heavily coated in a thick syrup that drowned the main feature and had no semblance of “brown sauce” as identified in the menu, but instead a sweet and sour type sauce that just wasn’t appealing. The pad Thai was just so so with a very bland base, but worse was the burnt sesame oil flavor that permeated throughout the dish. We would likely return for the sushi alone.“
“Love Thai Orchid. It's better than most other Thai food around. I always get your duck curry but tried all their food.. everything's great. Staff is great, great atmosphere too.Update: They have significantly reduced the quantity of meat (at least in the duck curry) since COVID, with the cost going up. I don't have to be searching for duck meat! Please go back to the original recipe! I have stopped going as often now as I used to go mainly for the duck curry. I still highly recommend Thai Orchid!“
“My wife and I both liked the sushi she ordered, but we both found the ones I ordered middling. The Pink Lady, as an example, was all lobster salad, very little avocado, and no mango. The brightness of some mango would have really cut through and made it a good roll, but without it, it was just fishy mayo and rice.“
“I had the KFC & OG bao. They were both excellent. The buns were pillowy and the fillings were delicious. There were many enticing options at Optimist Hall but Bao & Broth just kept pulling me back. The service was spot on, I received a txt as soon as it was ready. The cashier and expediter was friendly. I will definitely return and try the other options.“
“My boyfriend and I went here for New Year's Eve and it was delicious! The atmosphere was laid back, and it wasn't busy, even during a peak holiday and time (which we loved because it was quiet). The server and food were both amazing! Our drinks were good as well. The food was just so good we kept ordering more. We got sushi, bao, seaweed salad, Bahn mi, and curry. Go with a plan on what you want to eat, or try it all! It's very hard to pick because it all sounded delicious....and it was! We are going back soon!“
“Food is always amazing, great music and ambient lighting. Shannon is a very attentive server and checked on us throughout the experience to make sure we had everything we needed. The food came out fast and fresh! Thanks Shannon for the great experience!“
