“Lang Van may have won national recognition but the place is truly unpretentious and welcoming. The service was warm and energetic as it gets and it’s clear they’ve won the hearts of many by the wall-to-wall cards from their community. My husband and I are from Atlanta and have had the chance to try a lot of Vietnamese food around Buford Highway and the greater metro— Lang Van crushes all of them in comparison. My husband’s pho was so balanced that he didn’t dare to add anything to it, it was already perfection. This gem not only has a wonderful atmosphere, phenomenal food, and an incredible staff— the price point alone is so reasonable. We can’t wait to visit again in the future and try the coffee amongst other yummy options.“

“I’m not a foodie influencer, but I love vietnamese food. i don’t eat meat so knowing a place has a vegan option is always great. I used to go here all the time when it was Vietnam Grille, I didn’t realize they reopened under a new name until last month. The staff is so passionate, their vegan options have so much flavor and I can’t think of another place in Charlotte where every vegetable is so fresh. The waiter took the time to explain their meat substitute is made in house, that’s so cool! 100% underrated and one of my favorite places and I’m not normally someone to leave reviews“

“Absolutely loved this place! The bánh mì was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced—the bread was crispy on the outside and soft inside, just how it should be. The ingredients tasted high quality, and everything was made to perfection.

The service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere was clean and welcoming. You can tell they really care about the food and the customer experience.

“Bulgogi beef bahn mi and mango tea was great!! The perfect crunch and tasted every bite😋 I don’t like the atmosphere as much because it’s too small for a family of 4 or more. There’s only about 2-3 small tables that will fit 2 for sure, maybe 3 if there’s an extra chair and then one bar table that’ll fit 4 people.“

“We decided to try this place based on a recommendation & it didn’t disappoint. We had different types of phos & were very flavorful in their own way. There were many other dishes that looked appetizing & we’ll be coming back to try them. Saigon Night definitely isn’t just a karaoke bar anymore. It’s also a great place for authentic Vietnamese cuisine. I wish I had discovered this place sooner so don’t miss out like I did & give this place a shot. You’re welcome in advance.“

“This was the best meal I have had in a while! My banh mi was absolutely delicious—it was tender, crunchy, so flavorful and the bread was the perfect chewy, crispy baguette. I ate it in the parking lot in my car—I wanted a taste before I went back to work and ended up eating the whole thing like a mannerless beast. I’m not sorry, either. I would do it again. I am currently trying to get every last boba in my milk tea. It’s that good!! Go get some…now. Really, do it now.“

“This place should be more obvious because it was AMAZING. I usually go to the tea house across the street for banh mi but they are closed on Wednesday but I really had a hunger for one. This restaurant is literally right across the street. Don't let the appearance deter you, the most unassuming things and places can surprise you. i had the grilled pork and it was by far the best banh mi I have EVER had. If you are spending less than $10 (which is really easy to do) then bring cash for the courtesy of the owners so they aren't hit with stupid over charges. Otherwise cards are fine. Will definitely be coming back.“

“We’ve celebrated New Year’s Eve at Saigon Palace for several years. The staff is always accommodating ( we added 4 extra people at the last minute), they were so friendly bringing up an extra table & chairs. The food was delicious and we’ll probably be at SP again to celebrate birthdays and New Year’s Eve. Thanks so much to all the wonderful people from servers and kitchen staff.“

“I’ve been coming to this pho restaurant for years, and it never disappoints. The portions are generous, the flavors are incredibly rich, and the food is always fresh. Their fried egg rolls are hands-down the best I’ve ever had — super crispy and packed with flavor.

I got the Large number 7 and the shrimp spring rolls: the portions were hearty, the broth was flavored well, and the shrimp were incredibly fresh. As a family restaurant, they delicately balance attentiveness with letting you talk and fully enjoy the experience of your meal. Highly recommend!“

“I had lunch here on 1/7/22 and it will be my last time eating at this restaurant unless changes are made. The restaurant was slow with only us and one other table at time. A 3rd group of 3 came in with a dog. The server asked if it was a service dog and the guest replied yes and offered to go back to the car and get the dogs vest. The server said they didn't need that but made them sit by the garage door and continued to ask them questions about the dog and if they had some type of ID or card as proof. He then opened the garage door while it was 47 outside. Everyone in the restaurant was cold, one couple got up and moved and we just wrapped things up without finishing our lunch but especially that group who was now basically left sitting outside. They tried to explain what was and wasnt allowed when it came to service animals and were nice to the server and told him they understood when he said he was new and would need to ask the owner but he just kept saying this is what his owner told him he had to do and left the huge door open and everyone in the cold. They ended up leaving, then the server came around and tried to blame them for the poor treatment and said they were using offensive language.. ( the restaurant is tiny I was only 1 table away and they were very nice the whole time even when they expressed their disappointment in the way it was being handled they were not rude) This isnt the way anyone with a service dog or any sort of handicap should be treated. We wont be coming back until this place can figure out how to treat people fairly and with dignity and respect.“

“The Yum Nua (spicy beef salad) was a 7/10 for me. It only had like 6 pieces of beef and a LOT of red onion. The flavor and spice level was pretty good though. Would have been better with more tomatoes and cucumbers if the beef was going to be lacking. I’m not trying to eat forkfuls of onion.

Mango sticky rice was good but overpriced for the size.

The thai tea was NOT good.
It was extremely sugary and lacked that thai tea depth and flavor. It was giving Americanized thai tea vibes.

“Jonathan was AMAZING! We ordered 2 different sushi rolls(1 with meat and 1 vegetarian). They came in the same package. Since I am vegetarian, I could not eat my food because I did not know they came packaged in the same container. We called them back, and they were able to remake my vegetarian rolls! They had amazing service! I am so happy they were so understanding! Their food ALWAYS tastes amazing! This is my favorite take-out place every time I am in this part of town!!“
