This place should be more obvious because it was AMAZING. I usually go to the tea house across the street for banh mi but they are closed on Wednesday but I really had a hunger for one. This restaurant is literally right across the street. While I've only had the grilled pork banh mi ($4.50), it is the one of the best: hot, tasty meat, rich with flavor, topped with plenty of julienned veggies, on a delicious roll. It's a small place, and you won't want to hang out (except to chat with the charming hostess), so get a couple of bahn mi to go. Take a chance on a place you might not otherwise find. Not much at all on the eyes, and I'm honestly not sure what the overall business is but as long as they are selling cheap, delicious banh mi's I will come back for more. The size of the banh mi's are smaller than normal ones, so if you're hungry grab two. They're only $5 each so you won't break the bank.
