“We just had the best experience at midwood smokehouse! Super family friendly. The server (I can’t recall her name but she was the one who was closing) was so friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was very nice. Highly recommend this restaurant!!!“

“Let's start off with the greeting from the hostess. She was very welcoming with a great personality. I believe our waitress said she was her Manager. Our waitress Marissa is one of the best waitresses I have come across. From the time we sat down until we left. Her customer service was 10/10. She engaged with my six year old daughter. Even when she was being extra talkative. She still engaged with her every time. To the point where my daughter loved talking to her every time she came to the table and walked by. She laughed and joked with her. Her conversations with my mom and I were super genuine. She took our order in a timely manner. She gave us updates while waiting for our meal. She checked on us throughout our meal. Gave us our drink refills in a timely manner. We didn't have to ask her for anything or wave her down. She was on top of it. She has the perfect personality and pays attention to her customer's. I also observed that she was the same with other customer's as well. She has the charisma to Intertwine and comfortability to talk to customer's and not at them. She cares about her customer's. She's an asset to your team. “James, Hayden and our bartender; I forgot her name (Eagles hat/Virgo) were phenomenal! Today was The day We had a ice storm and I called a few different locations just to see if they were open. Not many places were open, but after speaking with James on the phone, we knew that’s where we wanted to eat lunch. Upon arrival to Mac’s, James greeted us at the door and put us in the hands of Hayden. Every request my fiancé and I placed, was fulfilled in a timely manner by Hayden and the team even though they were very busy! Upon leaving, we enjoyed ourselves so much that we decided to have another drink at the bar which included $4 mimosas where we were able to watch the start to the Patriots & Broncos AFC Championship Game!!!“

“Sweet Lew's did not disappoint. While visiting my BFF, I decided this trip I wanted N.C Barbecue. After searching & comparing reviews we decided to try Sweet Lew's and it did not disappoint. We both had "The Sampler." I'm not a beef eater. Although, I found the brisket a tad bit dry, when drizzled with Sweet Lew's Brisket Sauce it made it enjoyable. The ribs were juicy and cooked to perfection. I tried my friends Red Coleslaw, not knowing what to expect, was the bomb. The meat was dry-rubbed with sides of Barbecue Sauce, which were vinegar base, but not overwhelming so. Overall, we really enjoyed our meals, so much that I purchased a chicken dinner to go for the next day and look forward to returning.“

“If heaven had a smokehouse, it would definitely be Mac’s Speed Shop. First of all, the brisket? So tender I’m convinced it went to therapy and resolved all its issues before hitting the plate. The ribs? Fell off the bone like they were tired of working. And don’t get me started on the mac and cheese—it’s so good I almost proposed to it. I highly recommend checking out Mac’s Speed Shop.“

“We hired Dan & Debbie to cater our sons graduation party for 60 people! The food arrived on time, hot and tasted amazing!!! It was a hit and all the brisket, turkey & chicken wing went fast! We ordered enough, but people went back for 2nd & 3rds! Banana pudding was the “excellent” cherry on top! They are our favorite BBQ place in town, especially the Brisket!!!“

Food was fantastic and got samples of the meat we didn't order to try. I got a piece of German Chocolate cake for later in the hotel and it was as good as our food was. “This place is hands down the best Korean BBQ place in Charlotte. If you want a server who is knowledgeable and cares about his patrons, Amadeo, is your guy. He helped picked out our menu and had wonderful recommendations. He made small talk at our table and we will be back because of his wonderful professionalism and manners. “The Huba found this restaurant and we stopped by on a Friday evening. It wasn’t too busy and we were promptly seated. The restaurant has a parking lot but we found street parking.

We were surprised to find that it was a hookah lounge and a couple were smoking it. The smell wasn’t too overpowering.

We ordered the suya platter and lamp chop with respective sides. Honestly, we were sure if it was an African restaurant, we thought it was going to be but don’t know.

Didn’t have to wait long for our food. The lamb chop was really good. Jollof rice was just okay. The suya platter was good as well.

There was a Dj that started to play by the time we left around 9:30pm.

Overall, lovely experience. Our waiter was good and checked in several times.

I took out a star because we were given plastic utensils for a seat down menu? That’s a first. We didn’t order a take out so having to use a plastic ware with a plate versus paper plates was a bit irritating.“

The ribs are smoked perfectly and the meat is so tender, falls off the bone and practically melts in your mouth. Their baked beans are so yummy and the potato salad! 💯 The potato salad is the closest to tasting like my Grandmas that I have ever been able to find. We will eagerly be waiting for the truck to be in Waxhaw again!!!!“
