“Great steakhouse, great service. We had a great waitress today, sweet girl and this was at lunch today.I think my dad may have scared her for making a mistake on the bill, young people like her have a lot of stress these days. Please don't fire her for a little mistake like that.we had a great waitress today but our steak's were tough to eat. They weren't what what the waitress put on the bill. The kitchen mad the mistake not her . She was sweet as she could be.“
“Saint Pat's day was a moment. To see all the staff celebrating the holiday was exciting. Our waitress was so helpful in helping us choose our meal. Her little self was so friendly. The bathroom was clean, and you don't see that often at other restaurants. Now I have to honestly say the Mamosa was just Orange juice. But we didn't complain due to the good service we had overall.“
“Visited midday and was seated promptly. Order the four meat platter and paid the additional $5 to substitute one of the meats for burnt ends. Of course the burnt ends were by far the best meat they offered. Our server recommended the broccoli casserole which was delicious! The bacon-wrapped jalapenos were delicious as well! We found the Banana pudding to be too sweet. Restaurant was clean. Service was great. Highly recommend the burnt ends!“
“I had a great experience at KPot! I had the hot pot and Korean bbq and it was delicious and all the ingredients were fresh. I was so happy to find that they also had very affordable bubble tea as a drink option. the service was amazing, orders we delivered promptly and the waitstaff was just wonderful and friendly. they have a buffet with some picky eater friendly kids foods. Looking forward to visiting again.“
“I had not previously had BBQ in North Carolina. So I did my homework, both on styles and local restaurants (plus if they were open on a Monday evening). That led me to Midwood Smokehouse, and it was definitely the right choice for us. It was a great experience all-around, made even better by quality service and banter with our waiter, Tom. Drinks were a tough choice here (not in a bad way), and we did not immediately realize that there was a QR code on the menu to scan their whiskey pour menu. Since Monday was discounted cocktails night, we split our drink order between cocktails and pours. I was pleasantly surprised to see a less common bourbon, Jefferson's Ocean, available here at a reasonable price. Your food comes out quickly. Since we ordered dry meats (lean brisket and St. Louis dry rubbed ribs), we were given all the sauces from which to choose, which included the North Carolina regionals, their own, and a South Carolina spicy mustard. Honestly, the meats were so well prepared these were not necessary, but we tried every one of them anyway, and we enjoyed all of them. A couple of tips: (1) add a little salt to your collards, it will improve the flavor. (2) Try dipping your Hush Puppies in the South Carolina mustard. By the way, these were unquestionably the best Hush Puppies I've ever had - so many places in the Northeast need to cook them a tad more, thus they are more like Mush Puppies. This was a great first experience venturing into local "bbq territory."“
“Fresh food, locally sourced, large menu— can’t go wrong, everything’s delicious! Great for couples, families (kids). We’ve been several times and always had phenomenal service and a delicious meal (Bbq, wings, favorite starter’s *bacon wrapped jalapeños, and best coleslaw ever!“
“Wow. First off service was very southern and hospitable. The waitress made an effort to check in and give suggestions as it was out first time. She even went over the different sauces that were on the table! The food was great as well. Our appetizer was the chicarrons and they were still sizzlings, so extra pints on that. We got a meat bbq platter and the salmon meal. Both had their fare share of salt but I enjoyed the experience of North Carolina bbq. The aesthetic of the restaurant also makes this place memorable. You have the history in the building and nice spot in the center of town.“
“We were transported to a realm of culinary delight as soon as we stepped inside of MOA. The ambiance is captivating, with warm lighting, elegant decor, and an atmosphere that portrays a perfect balance between sophistication and comfort. Whether you are celebrating for a special occasion, simply dining out, or a night out with friends, MOA sets a stage for an unforgettable night. Not only the atmosphere, but the food truly steals the experience. Every dish was a masterpiece, crafted with care and precision by talented chefs. From the very first bite to the last dessert, each dish had an unforgettable symphony of flavors and textures. Each menu is an ensemble of schema and something new. MOA delivers dishes that are visually stunning as they are delicious.Furthermore, let's not forget about the service. Service at MOA was impeccable. The servers were attentive, knowledgeable, and went the extra mile to ensure guests felt welcomed and pampered from the moment we sat down until we bid farewell. All in all, dining at MOA was more than just a meal. I would definitely recommend heading to MOA with a group of friends who are food enthusiasts, appreciate good company, and desire a new experience. This restaurant is highly advocated to experience.“
“Got the Sandwich + Wing combo for 11.50 and it was a really good deal with one side and drink. The wings were HUGE and I got the spicy sauce and it was was super flavorful with the perfect amount of spice. I got the pulled pork sandwich and it was pretty good but I tried my moms pulled chicken and it was awesome so I'm definitely getting that next time. I also got the wedges and they were good but we also got the hush puppies, banana pudding and Mac n cheese and they were all 9/10+. Definitely coming back soon.“
“I went to this spot late. They were only doing take out. The owner was nice as well as the staff. The Bulgogi wasn't overly sweet bit just right! The kimchi was so good paired with the bulgogi. Also they give healthy portions. Great place!“
“We started off with deviled eggs which hit the spot. I got the Mr. Jim combo plate with corn on the cob and potato salad. My two meats were pulled pork and cheddar jalapeno sausage. All the food was very good. The cheddar biscuits were the best part of the meal. Our waitress was very friendly and I will be back in the future. A reservation is suggested as they seem to get busy.Parking: Large lot next to the restaurant.“
“This is some next level fried chicken in kombucha rice if I’m saying that right but I’ll be so glad when they put one on the west side so they can take over. This is some next level of food here and then my man in there behind the counter, that’s talking to people. He is very, very great with his customer service. I will be back soon again love, AJ.“
“We hired Dan & Debbie to cater our sons graduation party for 60 people! The food arrived on time, hot and tasted amazing!!! It was a hit and all the brisket, turkey & chicken wing went fast! We ordered enough, but people went back for 2nd & 3rds! Banana pudding was the “excellent” cherry on top! They are our favorite BBQ place in town, especially the Brisket!!!“
“I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing Apostle 'Que’s menu several times, and I can't help but share my amazing experience with everyone. From the mouthwatering food to the exceptional staff, my experiences are always fantastic. The first thing that will strike you as you approach the food truck is the aroma. The scent of smoky, barbecued goodness. As soon as you step up to the window, you’re greeted by a friendly face ready to take your order. It’ll be hard to narrow it down, but I highly recommend the brisket plate as it gives you a bit of everything. You can’t go wrong with any of the BBQ (I’ve had the pork and ribs too), but I prefer a plate as it come with all the sides. What truly sets Apostle 'Que apart is its exceptional crew and their mission. The staff are not just friendly and attentive; they genuinely care about your dining experience. They are always more than happy to explain the menu they have for that specific day, make recommendations, and ensure that your needs are met (within reason - it’s a BBQ place y’all, don’t come expecting extensive vegan and vegetarian options). Their passion for their craft and dedication to customer satisfaction are evident, and they’re just genuinely good people. Have you heard about their Que it Forward program? Need I say more?I’ll end by saying, if you're on the hunt for incredible BBQ, crafted by owners and staff that go above and beyond, look no further than Apostle 'Que. The combination of amazing food and a staff that treats you like family makes it a must-visit for barbecue enthusiasts and anyone looking for a memorable meal.Be sure to follow them on social and stop in to see them when they pull into a neighborhood near you!“
“The food was delicious!! We had the beef hotdogs, French fries and the Nachos with pulled chicken. Earl stopped by to check on us , he could tell I was fully enjoying the nachos, as I could barely stop eating them to respond. LolThank you Earl for your excellent customer service, it was greatly appreciated!Brenda & Micheal“
“Loved the BBQ! We were recommended by locals that this was the best take on old school bbq in the city centre and it did not disappoint. Our server was fantastic and the sports bar vibe was great.Only thing that let it down was the fried Okra - not good.“
“On our trip in North Carolina we had lunch at City BBQ . I have had my share of good BBQ which I just did a review on a location in West Palm Beach but am sorry to say that Florida BBQ has nothing on North Carolina BBQ. It was very delicious, tender, and juicy. The smoky taste was so on point. We have a Brisket sandwich, Brisket, ribs, smoked turkey, garlic toast, fries and okra. Everything was delicious. Only complaint was the fries was a bit too salty but still tasty. They have different sauces to choose. Can't wait to go back. Can't stop thinking of that smoke turkey..“
“Very well made. I’d say this is “medium-to-advanced” level bbq, as opposed to, say the overly-salty or sweet “popular” taste of some other places. The pork is moist, which I imagine is not easy to achieve. The relatively dry brisket feels more like a stylistic choice than anything else. The taste of flavorful smoke is present throughout. Only reason for the four star is coz this is not necessarily perfectly to my taste, not being from here, but I can recognize good cooking. (My dining companion ate all the ribs so I have no direct opinion on it)“
“Awesome and smoky chopped pork bbq with eastern vinegar sauce. The bbq beans were also fantastic and I loved that they have bacon! We will definitely be ordering our meats in bulk from here and look forward to trying everything on the menu! Great customer service too! Keep up the good work!“
“Great people drove 70 miles to try and was very satisfied with the food. Smoked fresh daily and also they have a blazing wing challenge that was like a volcano erupting on your pallet. But hey concord it! Got my shirt and will be back to visit. Should be a place you visit soon before everyone finds out about it and you can't get in the door.“
“Food here is amazing, the appetizers were by far the best part of the meal. Not to downplay the rest of the menu, the apps are just that good! Service wasn't the best, but we were in a large group so understandable that things would slip through the cracks. Overall a great experience!Parking: Parking is a garage located behind the restaurant, if restaurant is on your right side, you will take a right onto side street and another right into garage. 90 minutes free parking, be sure to register your vehicle via the QR code.“
“Excellent, memorable. I am a "fried chicken snob" and this is the best I've had in a long time. And the collards were the real deal too. This is a small take out place with two tables outside. It takes a while for the food to come out because they are a cook to order place. This is likely why the food is so good but plan on waiting about 20 minutes. Or order ahead. The folks were very welcoming. And again... the chicken was excellent.“
“Today(March 15), I order Brisket $15. Honest opinion it was not Memphis/Texas Style for which I'm accustomed too.Dry, dry, dry.....not moist. Not savory. I don't know maybe I'm expecting too much. ?For those of us that know Brisket there's a certain period when it's not cooked properly where it can become "Roast" that's what it came close too......again maybe I'm expecting too much. For $15 I got 2.....two small pieces for $15 ?Coming from Memphis/Texas style of BBQ, I'm quite quite disappointed....The fries I ordered was awesome.Overall 3 out of 10. They have pork, turkey, and wings but I'm honestly not wanting too give that amount of money again for that again.Lastly the Sweet Tea tasted like it had sat there and been forgotten about. A twangy type taste. Again ?....maybe I'm expecting too muchUnfortunately I will not be back ?“
“Not just a food truck! The restaurant is in Hemby Bridge. Wish I had known about it when it was in downtown Monroe.Stopped by to try it out last evening. By far the best BBQ and ribs I've had in NC. I had pulled pork and ribs, tater salad and slaw. The meat was cooked to perfection, moist and tender. The sweet sauce is a perfect compliment to the meat though it doesn't really need sauce. The tater salad was deliciously to die for, wish I could make it like that. The slaw she makes her own mayo based mixture and it is right tasty as well. Portions are generous...think generous not glutton lol. Owners were there and were really personable outgoing folks. I will be back soon and will make another review on whatever I eat then. Note..I did not make a happy plate took some home. The picture of my plate there is pulled pork under those ribs.“
“We LOVE Texas Road House but stopped going because it is so noisy you can't hear yourself talk. Tried it today for lunch (got there when they first opened) and it was AMAZING! Mary was our waitress and if I could give her 50 stars I would. She was that good and in fact, she was the best waitress we have EVER had and made the whole experience perfect! The steaks were absolutely perfect as were the sides. I just wish they had a closed off area for people who hate the loud music.“
