We hired Dan & Debbie to cater our sons graduation party for 60 people! The food arrived on time, hot and tasted amazing!!! It was a hit and all the brisket, turkey & chicken wing went fast! We ordered enough, but people went back for 2nd & 3rds! Banana pudding was the “excellent” cherry on top! They are our favorite BBQ place in town, especially the Brisket!!!
The food was delicious. Loved the brisket. The macaroni and cheese and collard greens were great. Everyone was very happy with their selections. Would definitely return.
First time here today. Ribs were outstanding. Pulled pork and brisket were very good. Family loved the hush puppies and mac and cheese. Cole slaw was solid. The baked beans were a bit under for me and too harsh on the tomato flavor; the honey mustard sauce was also a bit harsh. There was a delicious raspberry BBQ sauce too.
Restaurant had great music and seemed family friendly - only wish they had a changing table in the bathroom - that was a miss.

Hickory and Heart is a great BBQ spot near Ballantyne Commons, a corner joint with lots of windows. The food has the best flavor in Charlotte, with amazing brisket that melts in your mouth, plus wonderful pork and chicken. The sides are excellent and delicious, including mashed sweet potato, Mac & cheese, baked beans, hush puppies, and fried okra. Service is quick, friendly, incredible, and top notch. Their catering services are also awesome and consistent. It is a total win and a place to return to.
