“Recommend the enchiladas! They come covered in lots of sauce, and very generous portions. Very fast service as well. The only problem is this place is so good, it's hard to get a table! All the food is served to go style anyway, so it's not really an issue, but good to know ahead of time.“

“I suggested to our HOA board that we go eat at Que Onda after our meeting this evening. They joked that you have to take a loan out to eat there... prices have increased. Still, we enjoyed their food in the past, and we like to support local businesses in our community. First, no more chips and salsa when you sit down ... not even an offering. What Mexican restaurant doesn't have chips and salsa when you sit down? And for dinner I ordered a taco salad, sans beans, cheese and pico. I subbed rice and mushrooms. I was charged $9.95 for the shell and lettuce, $3 for rice and $4 for mushrooms. I have ordered this veggie alternative for years at several places - never have I been charged $17 for a "salad". Had the waitress mentioned the upcharge at the time I ordered, I could have made a decision to go ahead or to change my order. But she NEVER mentioned the additional cost. Sadly, they lost 3 local customers tonight, as well as being one of the catering / community meetup options we were just discussing 30 minutes earlier. Be fair. Be transparent. Discuss additional costs instead of simply charging and assuming your customers want to pay extra - again, I would have changed my order. Adios Que Onda!“

“My wife and I had dinner at the Charlotte location this evening. We had great service from our server Noah, who was very quick to take our drink order and provided attentive service for our entire dinner. We both ordered a Chimichangas (my wife had the chicken and I had the beef). Both were delicious, well seasoned and served hot. (fwiw) noted the staff were sweeping and cleaning the restaurant tables quickly, after a table turned.“

“Great place for a quick bite. If you’re there on the days they make the tamales just know the tamales are HUGE. They aren’t really a side dish, more of a whole lunch type deal. The queso was amazing, I wish I asked for more of it! Cool place. I’ll be back next time I’m in town during the week.

“Had an amazing experience with my girl friends last night. Alison, our server was great and accommodating knowing it was our first time. She gave us delicious recommendations— house made tacos and guacamole were flavorful!! Not to mention, was so thoughtful. I highly recommend and will be back!! :)“

“I’ve been to many bars, talked to many bartenders, even took a couple home. Adan is my favorite bartender i’ve ever met! Adan is so kind and welcoming, he makes me feel like I made a friend. He’s so good at bartending he could make a 48 month chip holder at the AA get a drink. I love when he makes margaritas, especially the strawberry mangoneada! Holy smokes, Matador is a must visit in Charlotte purely for Adan. A perfect day is waking up on a day off, and getting a plate of ribeye tacos, and a shot of Ocho Tequila from my favorite bartender 😊“

I am incredibly picky when it comes to Mexican food, I am Mexican and when I go to most Mexican restaurants I am so disappointed and never go back. Most Mexican restaurants soak their food in oil and I was so pleasantly surprised that wasn’t the case here! Everything tasted fresh too! You can tell things were prepped the day of. I’m going back for the tacos Dorados next! I had the make your own torta and my husband had the enchiladas modernas. Both were delicious! We did order a side of the pinto beans. They could’ve used maybe 30 more minutes to cook. But again, you can tell it’s fresh and it’s cooked there, not canned.“

If you look at my other reviews Im very honest. So Im not just hyping it up. Best one I’ve ever had. My wife had the tacos and she loved them. The Churro’s were not too sweet and really cooked well. This is one of the best Taco spot in charlotte and I’m a charlotte native. If you get a chance you should go and I guarantee you’ll love it.“

“Clean and fresh. Nice staff. Very fast service. My issue is the chicken. It tastes processed in comparison to Chipotle. And the portions are a touch small. The guac is just okay. Plenty of sides. And their queso is really good. I’d go back but I would always compare them to Chipotle.“
