Had an amazing experience with my girl friends last night. Alison, our server was great and accommodating knowing it was our first time. She gave us delicious recommendations— house made tacos and guacamole were flavorful!! Not to mention, was so thoughtful. I highly recommend and will be back!! :)
Service, food, and drinks are great every time. Always a good vibe. I love this place!
This is a new neighborhood gem! We will definitely be back. Everything was perfect.

La Vecina is a vibrant restaurant that offers an authentic and upscale dining experience, reminiscent of Tulum and Mykonos meats Mexico City. The outdoor seating creates a stylish and warm atmosphere, with attention to detail in the decor and ambiance, making it a great place for both casual and special occasions. The staff is consistently praised for their friendly, attentive, and accommodating service, enhancing the overall experience. Guests often feel transported to Mexico, thanks to the authentic vibe and thoughtful touches like overhead heaters for outdoor comfort.
The menu features high-quality dishes, with standout items such as the ribeye taco, al pastor, and lamb birria empanadas. The ribeye taco is highly recommended, along with the house-made tacos and guacamole, which are flavorful and authentic. The quesadilla is described as hand-made, with the impression that a traditional abuelita is involved in its preparation. The aguachile ceviche and plantain chips are also noted as fresh and delicious. Some tacos, like the lamb burria and tostones, received mixed reviews, with comments about dryness and lack of flavor, but overall, the dishes are well-regarded.
Complementing the food, the cocktails—such as a fresh margarita and a creative aperol/tequila/blood orange drink—add to the enjoyable experience. The lively environment, combined with excellent service and authentic cuisine, makes La Vecina a standout spot in Charlotte, leaving guests eager to return.
