“The bartender (believe his name was Kevin) was super sweet! Walked up to me and my husband when we walked in to ask if we wanted a drink or needed anything. The place was very cute in a dive bar sort of way, very calm, and the drinks were worth the price!“
“Despite the negative comments, most of them were either kicked out for acting a fool and/or just overly pretentious and angry people. The woodshed has a myriad of diverse individuals that it welcomes. They are promoting a safe, mature place for people in the LGBTQIA+ community to socialize. Our group loves the vibe and staff here. We have had no issues. All you have to do is be polite and mature.“
“I always have a great time at Argon because I either go with friends or I'm social at bar (shocker). Drinks are priced pretty damn good especially cause the serving size is decent and they don't short you on alcohol in said drinks. Not to mention you won't get triple charged for what you order like other gay bars in Charlotte. I will say DJ LadyBear is the best DJ they have there so I'd plan accordingly to come when he is DJing (they always post on IG what Events they're having and what DJ will be there that night) Overall, glad I feel safe in this environment cause Charlotte was lacking in that department for a long time.“

“The bar was purchased by new owners last year and things have improved dramatically! I always have a great experience with the bartenders, especially Jesse, and the drinks are reasonably priced. The old setup was uncomfortable and dirty, but now the dance floor and stage area have been redone, and opened up, and a new main bar installed. The bathrooms were expanded and rebuilt, and a new lounge area created on the side of the dance floor. Honestly other than the name, little of the former club still exists inside. They also started having regular theme and event nights, and the new owners have been good about posting their themes and events on Instagram and their website, so you can find out in advance.“
