I can’t believe how good this place was. The vibe, the welcoming and smiling staff, the food … all totally on point. The coffees- we tried hot and cold- were each THE BEST we’ve had in Charlotte…no contest. No paper cups here if you eat in… coffee only as it should be served: in real mugs on saucers with decorative art in the foam that holds while you drink it. The bahn mi sandwich was light and tasty like it should be- loved the bulgogi one. The bread was beyond anything I’ve found locally. I can’t say enough to express my delight with this place… a hidden gem in Matthews that you NEED to experience!!?

Vietnamese Coffee (hot) that has like 4 shots of Espresso and condensed milk was very sweet and tasty, on the heavier side, tad bitter towards the end as expected in something this strong...Beef Bulgogi Bun was just going in the oven, so got it steaming hot 15 mins later as I was through most of my coffee, and is sweet on the outside with the flavors on the inside in the marinated beef - worth trying at least once.

Nice and chill hangout spot to enjoy some delicious banh mi! I ordered the "Our Special" banh mi, a Vietnamese iced coffee, and a bulgogi beef bun. The bread had a really nice crunchy exterior and it was nice and soft on the inside. One thing that really stood out to me on this sandwich was the pickled daikon and carrots. They were a little more sweet and acidic than I have had from other places which I loved! The other ingredients were fresh and they made their bread in house which I appreciated.I wasn't a huge fan of the Vietnamese iced coffee but this was just a preference thing. Nothing about it was bad, but I just don't have the palate for it. Mine also wasn't super sweet either, but I believe you can ask them to crank up the sweetness if you would like it to be sweeter.As I was walking out, they were restocking their baked goods shelf, and I was able to snag a bulgogi beef bun! This made me so happy as I had wanted to try one of these after seeing photos of it from other reviews. The bread was super pillowy and the meat inside was extremely flavorful. Enjoying this bun was a great way to end this food experience, and I left happy and full.

We walked in a little after 10 to find this place still bustling! That’s a good sign to us, because it means that this is a local favorite. AND ITS AMAZING! Truly, the coffee is perfect and the food is so delicious.
