Came for brunch and was seriously impressed. The brunch pizza was incredible, perfectly baked crust, delicious toppings, and just the right balance of flavors. It’s not something you see on every brunch menu, and they absolutely nailed it. The vibe at 300 East is cozy and welcoming, with great service and a menu full of creative options.

300 East has long been one of Charlotte’s best restaurants. I’ve been dining here since the early ’90s, and now that I’m living in the area again, it’s become a weekly go-to.

Tuesdays are my favorite—half-price wine by the glass makes it the perfect time for me and my girlfriends to hang out in the late afternoon or early evening. When the weather’s nice, the patio is one of the best places to be.

The food is always consistently excellent, but what truly sets 300 East apart is the staff—many of whom I now consider friends. Their warmth and hospitality make every visit feel like coming home.

Don’t miss out on this Charlotte classic. It’s a gem that only gets better with time.

Everyone is normally great, it today, the tall hostess with the long hair was more than extremely rude when my husband realized he had made a mistake with our reservations. The eye rolls and attitude were definitely not necessary and not appropriated. Her poor posture and lack of smile and positivity do not make her the best choice for a hostess. I hope I never get greeted by her again… or anyone else for that matter. She kills the happy 300 East vibe that we love.

Every dish we had was fantastic and the service was excellent. Highly recommend the half chicken!

The French Onion Soup tasted as if it had been sitting around and then was popped into the microwave to heat it up. The croutons were soggy and the flavor was wilted. The Ahi Tuna Salad had 4 finger-size pieces of seared tuna on a bed of leafy greens. The only flavoring was 3 thimbles of dipping sauces.

Would never go back. This place has gone downhill. I am 9 months pregnant and ordered a burger, well done. It came out extremely pink, maybe medium at best. We sent it back and then they brought the SAME burger back (I know because I had cut it in half) so apparently they thought it was fine to just keep cooking it. In what world?! Would not recommend this place for anyone and they should be investigated for food safety and handling. Are you trying to make a pregnant woman sick?! And then all they did was take the burger off the check. We paid $60 for one of the worst restaurant experiences we’ve had. Don’t spend your money here.

We went here on a Monday, group of 12 for my birthday. Was able to reserve a table same day! Food was great and not a single scrap was left over. I got the filet with Mac & cheese and potato pancake. All was amazing. We also ordered the pimento cheese appetiser and the bread. Would recommend both. Everyone was very happy with their meals and service was great. They were even able to accommodate for a gluten-free vegetarian. The atmosphere was an old house converted to a restaurant.

I loved the place, the food and the service. The crowd on the other hand got me a little uncomfortable. I am Latin American, and was breastfeeding for a while in my visit(covered). I felt eyes on me too much for my liking (from women more than anything). I don’t know if it was because I was not like the majority of the customers, or because I was breastfeeding or because I am gorgeous.
I felt like in a western movie entering a bar and everyone looking at you at the same time ?… it was weird..

This place feels very artsy and eclectic, but with really great food. Always a positive experience here. Crab cakes are wonderful. Some understated creativity on the menu.

The brownie and ice cream are my favorite. I'm not sure how they make their brownies, but it's delicious, moist, and tasty! Also, the salmon and Jasmine rice, fried kale is a must try.

I have always just loved going to 300 East! They do such an outstanding job with their food, and they always make sure that I have a safe dining experience with my extensive food allergies. I also make it a point now to have my birthday dinners there as well, not just other occasions. Awesome wait staff... amazing chefs, both pasty and dinner... amazing owners and just always that perfect feeling of coming home....

Currently here. It’s okay, overly salty and our food came cold to touch. As if it was sitting for a while. Friendly greeter and friendly waiter. Limited options for brunch. Definitely come after 3pm!
