I have eaten at 37 Sol many times over the years and was happy to go again after a shopping trip and had lunch here with my kids today.
We only waited about five minutes for a table and the hostess was very friendly. Our server was pleasant but took a long time to get our drink order and even longer to get our food order.
We waited over 20 minutes to get refills and had to send drinks back with gnats in the ice. My pint glass had not been cleaned properly and had particles of food floating in the beer. Our order took a very long time to come out and when it did we only got half of it, the rest came about 5 minutes later.
Everything looked great and tasted ok, I had the steak bowl, kids had chicken tenders, kids cheeseburger and the Texas-style burger. Two of us have upset stomach’s now. I can’t say I will be back which is a shame since it is so close to the outlet mall.

First time here and service was terrible. We sat on the patio for quite some time before our server came. Our margaritas didn't come out until about 10 mins after our meals came out. We had no silverware or napkins. We asked our server for hot sauce when she dropped our food off and that came 10 mins later.. food was cold before we finally got to eat. Flavors of the food weren't bad.. the tequila sunrise margarita tasted like straight lime juice and bitter orange. Will not be back.

Extremely disappointed. The service was awful and felt complexly forgotten. Never came to check on our meal. Two tables were sat after us and they got their food first. Once we got our food it was extremely bland for how much we paid. Would not recommend nor return.

My experience here was not good and I will not be bad. Very small portions, very pricey, food was not good and the server was very rude. Their only thing I liked was the drinks.

Sad to see the quality of food go downhill after only 3 years. My salmon was the size of my index finger in length and burnt. The rice and beans were crunchy.

Beautiful place with wonderful people working here but the food. Ugh. There is a LOT of a spice, that my daughter believed is cumin, applied to everything. Even the salsa was drenched in this spice. I couldn't eat the chips and salsa or my entree, shrimp enchilada. The enchilada was very nicely displayed but tasted like a grilled cheese with shrimp thrown in.
The Margheritas, however, YUMMMMMM. I had the Panther Margherita, and my husband had a strawberry Margherita. I've been searching for a Margherita with Jalapeño since I first had one in Atlanta years ago. They're difficult to find and never as satisfying as the one I had before. But this place nailed it!!!
I'd love to go back for another, but I would want something to munch on.
Vegetarian options: My daughter was excited by the many vegetarian offerings. She didn't mind the spice so much as I did.

For the last few months, I have traveled to Charlotte for work once or twice each month and I usually have dinner on each of those visits at 37SOL. The food and drinks have always been excellent, as well as the service.
Imagine my absolute shock and disappointment when I visited with my husband on Saturday evening, March 8, and everything but the service was a hot mess.
We sat in a booth and waited quite a while for the chips and queso we ordered as an appetizer. They were fine.
I ordered two blueberry/basil martinis and it took a long time to get the second one. Although they both tasted fine (even though I had to order a shot of simple syrup because the first one was pretty tart) , they had very little alcohol.
The real star of this disastrous visit was the surf/turf fajitas, which is what I usually get. We ordered the meat well done, like I always do, and after waiting for a long time, it came out burnt.
We go out to dinner regularly and any good restaurant knows how to cook meat well done and not burn it. Longhorn Steaks can teach a master class on this!! They are consistently excellent, no matter which location you visit.
The rice and beans were stale and not hot. The shrimp had black char, not caramelized/browned as they had been every other time I’ve been there.
All of this was happening as several tables around us remained unbussed, stacked with dirty dishes, with napkins, trash and food on the floor around them.
It appeared the restaurant had been busy before we arrived around 8 PM, but by now, there were many empty tables so leaving dirty tables for more than 20 or 30 minutes was absolutely unacceptable.
Disappointed is an understatement. We could’ve gone anywhere for a nice dinner, and based on my previous experience at 37SOL, I chose to go here. Big mistake.
My husband didn’t want to make a big deal at the restaurant but all he said to me when we got back to the hotel was, “That dinner was disgusting.”

Restaurantji Recommends
We came here a few days ago for a little celebration and I truly don't understand the hype. Our server was very rude right from the get go, making comments about my girlfriend's ID picture and ignoring the table when the restaurant was hardly busy.
Charging 4+ dollars for a small plate of chips and (not tasty) salsa is not okay regardless of how fancy the plating is. I feel like it is very standard to give complimentary chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant, especially given the price point of the rest of the menu.
The margaritas were basically just cups of juice with a small pour of tequila which, again, would not be a huge deal if they weren't so expensive.
The food items we ordered were not reflective as to what was listed on the menu, and everyone in my party of 4 were unhappy with their meal. The service just topped everything off.
This restaurant falls prey to the idea that you can overcharge for mediocre food if you have a trendy atmosphere and it certainly didn't work on us. I will not be back and would recommend any other Mexican restaurant in the Steele Creek area.
(Only redeeming quality was that their habanero hot sauce was very good.)

Enchiladas (sweet potato/ black bean for me and beef for my companion) were excellent. Black beans & vegan rice on the side. (I always ask b/c some restaurants use chicken broth in the rice.) We each had a delicious margarita (mine was a "skinny coconut" and his was a standard "house"). Dessert was a fried apple tart with homemade whipped cream and some kind of sauce 😋. So why only 4 stars? Well, this restaurant doesn't offer complimentary chips / salsa (you have to order and there's a charge), and the margaritas come in only one size (medium) and, considering the price ($12), seemed to be light on the tequila. Overall, though, I would recommend.

Not impressed. The interior was decorated nicely but that's about as much as I can say. The "salsa" served with the chips was the strangest tasting salsa I have ever had. The portions were small, especially considering the price, I had a chicken chimichanga and the taste was just "ok". I used the restroom and the strong smell of urine in the bathroom was overwhelming. Evidently the bathroom had not been cleaned in a while. We will not be returning to this restauarant. I have been to much cheaper mexican restaurants with a lot more basic building and much less fancy interior and the food was a whole lot better.

The service was excellent; unfortunately, the food was not. I had the steak rice bowl. The choice of ingredients (sweet potatoes, avocado, corn, beans) and taste combination was good. The rice and beans were very dry, reminiscent of being left over from lunch. The marinated steak had a good flavor but was overcooked. It was not cut up properly such that there was like a big blob of four or five pieces connected by sinew. Definitely not appealing. We sat outside which was nice. Highly recommend that management add something to the legs of their outdoor chairs/tables to soften the horrible screeching noise when their servers move the furniture (which happened a lot) or have servers physically pick up the furniture versus dragging it.
