500 New York Style Pizzeria - South Blvd.

With a name like New York pizza, you would expect the pizza to be New York style and that it is. It's thin and it's large and its cheesy and it's very very good. But I think that it's not as good as Luigi's on South Tryon. Yes, they have stuff other than pizza but with this name why would you eat anything else?

Typical pizza joint with some booths and tables and you can see the kitchen areas clearly. TV on the wall tuned to a sports channel.

I ordered two large spaghetti plates, and they’re usually filled to the top of the container. This time, they were only filled halfway. I asked if they could fill them up more because that’s how they normally serve them when I order, but the employee said that’s just how they make it. It felt like I basically paid for a small. It was frustrating because I’ve been coming here for a long time, and they’ve never done this before — it felt like a bit of a scam.

They also could’ve been nicer about it. The girl in the front was pretty rude, and that kind of attitude is just laziness. They could’ve kept a customer. The food is good, but they really don’t have good customer service.”

Great pizza by the slice. Each slice is a quarter of a pizza. I got two slices and couldn’t finish them both. Also got a fountain drink $12.95 for each. I got pepperoni and I must say it was really good. I like the crust too. I definitely go again.

After leaving a glowing review last week, I try to go today and the door is locked. If you call the mailbox is full. Hard to like a restaurant that is unreliable. Amending my star review

We placed a catered order of about $300 for a client’s staff celebration and scheduled it 24 hours in advance. At our 1pm delivery time, I called to check on the order and was told they weren’t sure it existed even though I called the day before and also received a confirmation email. They then informed me that the order from their online ordering site somehow didn't come through on their end. Someone came back to the phone to say they are just starting to prepare it and it would be ready 20 minutes late.Not only did the food not arrive, but we had to go pick it up ourselves. We ordered meat baked ziti and paid for it, but what we received had no meat whatsoever and wasn’t fully baked….just ricotta, sauce, and noodles. We were also told we’d be refunded the delivery tip, and that never happened. For such a large order, the lack of care, communication, and accuracy was extremely disappointing. This was my second time supporting this business, and unfortunately it will be my last. Save yourself the trouble and order elsewhere. Awful experience.

Messed up toppings on pizza so I had to waste an hour coming back. Mozarella Sticks were not melted & taste uncooked. They remade it for me and it still ended up tasting weird. The fries are ok but nothing great. The lemon pepper wings were pretty good. And the pizza is good once they remade it with the right toppings I ordered.
