Best fries in town!

I think the description pretty much describes it, no-nonsense pub with good food and good service.

Stroganoff was great. Worst black bean burger in the history of black bean burgers. Mushy, bland ick

Upon entering this pub, one cannot help but feel at ease with the casual and eclectic environment. The decor and history of the location is immediately evident, with plenty of character.

If this one location were used to summarize the entirety of Charlotte I would say they did their City proud. The neighborhood and the building as well as the interior are all welcoming.

Our stop at Alexander Michaels was a simple break from a long drive, desiring some comforting and delicious food. The waitress was quick to have us seated and we were truly thankful for how attentive she was! No issues at all!

For our order, we had the half pound burger medium well with cheddar, mayonnaise, lettuce, pickles and tomato. Accompanied with a side of onion rings.

For myself I looked forward to the Reuben with extra crispy french fries.

I was delighted to hear that for desserts they had locally made sweets. We opted for Carrot Cake.

The burger was delivered perfectly cooked with a side of crispy and piping. Hot onion rings. Absolutely delicious and without fault !

The Reuben with their Swiss sauerkraut, thousand island and corned beef was extremely delicious.

Lastly, the carrot cake which we saved for later was delicious and worth every calorie, it could have used one more layer in my opinion, decadence being the heart of any good dessert!

Now for what I like to call positive critique, I would love to see the menu up front say how much meat is on the Reuben and offer extra meat for an upfront declared price. For my Reuben I was admittedly disappointed with the amount of meat, however the waitress was quick to get more brought out for the extra coin. I believe this was worth every penny!

If I ever find myself in Charlotte will I go again?!
That'd be two thumbs up and a satisfied "Hell Yeah!"

Well Done Alexander Michaels! I hope to get to visit again some day!

Parking: Parking curbside between marked signs and a nearby parking lot next to the dog park provided plenty of space!

Every time I visit Charlotte, NC, I have to stop for the chicken quesadilla, fries, and a Long Island iced tea. I love Alexander’s vibe!!!

Had the London Broil sandwich and a side salad with ranch.
Salad was awesome. Great flavor, very fresh. The sandwich was very good. The only issue was the roll. While tasty, it basically fell apart after a couple of bites. It needs to be a bit crispier so it will hold together better. The service was ok. That said, I had to wait 6-8 minutes to get a drink refill. I would not hesitate to go back. The sandwich was worth the price.

Not bad at all and I did like the way that they split our plates so that I could half half of the other persons and they could have half of mine without any extra charge

This was our first time visiting. The restaurant is in a neighborhood and for us it was a little difficult to find as our navigation was taking us all over but we finally found it. There is no parking lot so you have to find parking on the street. By accident we parked in a tow away zone and the waitress saw us and immediately came out and told us so we immediately moved the car. That was super kind of her and we appreciated that so we did not get towed!

Inside it was nice and we got seated right away. There is a lot on the menu that looked delish. I settled on a pasta dish with chicken, but the chicken was a little dry but still tasted good. My friend got a different pasta dish and she said hers was really good. Prices seemed far and service was great.

I would recommend if you are in the area. It was 50 minutes from our house and would not have visited if we were not going to see a show after dinner only due to the drive, but glad we did. Would recommend!

Parking: It’s a little difficult to find parking as it is located in a neighborhood.

Perfect neighborhood pub and eatery, nestled in the charming 4th ward. Friendly wait staff, excellent dishes—we enjoyed the honey chicken pasta and the blackened catfish. And, of course, the bread pudding!

Went on a trip with my wife and looked up places to eat, we're so thankful to stumble across this place! We had to go back with the rest of my family another time. Amazing food and even better atmosphere. Such a treasure!
