Well, I think I’d be willing to come back here to give it another try with such high reviews, but the food honestly wasn’t that great. Maybe I came on a bad day. I love French bakeries but I was just disappointed. The Americano I got was super weak. I went to an Italian bakery right after I visited here, and the americano coffee was just night and day. The quiche was completely out of balance and not mixed well. I was getting whole bites that were nothing but bacon crumbles with no egg which made it extremely salty and chewy. I ended up just busting the whole thing up and mixing it better. I love meat in a meat quiche, but that bacon was just completely overpowering. Also, the cheese on top was like leather. I could not cut through it with my fork and I had to wrestle with it to get through. It was like it had it had been reheated multiple times or it’s just the wrong cheese to be putting on top of a quiche. French bakeries do not use as much sugar as American bakeries, but both my orange cream puff and my blueberry tartlet were over the top sweet. American baking style sweet not French. This place was within walking distance of my hotel, so I think next time I will just get a pain chocolat if I get a chance to come back when I’m in town.

Very basic American with a slight flare of French influence. Let's be honest, every Frenchman that will walk this establishment will run away. Completely edible but you better find a different spot if you want a good breakfast.

Great little bakery. Although I wouldn’t constitute them as a true French bakery, they do a decent job, food was pretty good but you can tell it’s not authentic enough. The space is huge but tables and dining area aren’t always the cleanest.

Truly the best place to have business outings, fancy lunch, or a place to get work done! Amazing food, service, but you might want to bring a jacket! And the best part? All the food is so fairly priced. All food is around $10, pastries and coffees around $6. You can be in and out feeling full for no more than $20, which is really impressive for how clean and professional their staff is. Best and most affordable and quality food in all of uptown.

It's quite an experience to go to Amelie's. First of all, the atmosphere is amazing. The restaurant is quite literally filled with decorations that reflect the French culture like a partial Eiffel Tower, Napoleon portraits, macaroons hanging from the ceiling, a Mona Lisa painting, etc. The seating is very unique. We sat around a table with a lighted tree in the middle. There is so much art on the walls that it is like being in the Louvre. The food was delicious, fresh, and flavorful.

This place is popular for their pastries which look good although I didn't try them. We tried having breakfast here and it was complete crap! If you want a pastry fine but don't waste your time on their breakfast.

So the last time I went to amalies was 6 years ago somewhere around Noda I think they had a location but this is close to my apartment so I decided to come here for a coffee. The last time I was at amelies i remember having the most delicious coffee and enjoying the atmosphere. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful in this location as well and the vibes are very happy from the customers. The line was long but it moved quickly. The guy who packaged my pumpkin cheesecake macaron was nice and so was the girl at the register. I also got a salted caramel mocha. The lady who was making the drinks seemed a little stressed, I could feel her vibe since it was an open kitchen. She seemed a little busy while also answering the phone. I paid to put whipped cream and caramel drizzle in my drink as well but she didn’t and I didnt really feel like asking her to redo it since she redid the lady’s drinks before me apparently they weren’t right as well. I think she could use another person in her corner for help on a Saturday morning so she is not overworked and stretched thin. But my coffee was still delicious and the macaron was great. I think you guys should get cuter cups to go with esthetic as well.

A bit stiff service at the counter who couldn't handle a joke in French.

Spacious store with many choices, but American pricey. Paid $24 for a simple wrap and soup.
