Even for our party of 8, the atmosphere is cozy and without blaring music and shouting patrons. I had the foie gras BLT special (and could have eaten a second one) and the mussels (which were cooked just right, not overdone). Waitress did an excellent job of handling requests and drink orders.

Started with a drink that tasted like battery acid. Turned it back for an old fashioned that was straight bourbon. Past their prime mussels served up. Pasta was under cooked and underwhelming. Bread basket was okay. Server was polite and funny.

We have been going to Barrington's for years. The food and service are always amazing. Recently took the family out to celebrate 2 birthdays. Service was ok, but the food was horrible. Everyone left with half eaten leftovers that were later thrown away. Everyone has off nights, but their response was the kicker. We sent them an email...twice, to see if something was off that night. Nothing. Then called, and they explained that they have been serving the same menu for 26 years and therefore it must be me. For $350 you can eat at Fig Tree, or any of the other top tier restaurants in Charlotte. Don't waste your money at Barrington's

I was disappointed --- either bad management or untrained waitstaff. I always check out the reviews and online menus before I visit. I checked out the wine list and saw a 2014 Ridolfi Brunello I like normal retail between $45 - $80 and they offered at $130 -- normal markup for a high end restaurant --- I ordered it but the waiter brought something else. I informed his that that was not what I ordered. I repeated by order and he said they didn't carry it. I told him I had just reviewed the website and it was on it. He said management doesn't keep the website current and the offerings and prices were out of date. His offer was another Brunello at $170 --- Normally if you are out of your advertised wine you offer your replacement at the same price or less but in this case they upgraded me with a $40 upcharge. Next my wife asked for a recommendation for dessert. We took his recommendation and waited about a half hour. while waiting we heard the next table order the same dessert. About 10 minutes later our waiter came to our table and said they were out of the dessert . While he was standing there another server came to the table next to us and served them the dessert our waiter claimed they were out of. My wife asked why they were served that dessert when she ordered 15 minutes before them. He just said " I got busy and forgot to order it" He then walked away --- no offer of another dessert or any accomodation what so ever. Is it managements' or waitstaffs failings when advertised products are not actually available???

The gnocchi is always amazing. You can never go wrong with that. The service is impeccable in this little restaurant.

What an absolutely DREADFUL evening! We had scheduled our 50th wedding anniversary dinner here. We scheduled a week out, told the restaurant we were vegetarians. Resy sent conflicting reservations so I called to confirm. Four calls and two emails later someone deigned to call. I asked for a table out of the way. We arrived to a putrid smell of gush and only ONE vegetarian option, one my spouse could not eat. No apologies, no sense of responsibility. Needless to say we left and will NEVER be back. We hated eaten there two or three times before but a decade or so ago. Thankfully Toscano saved the day!

Vegetarian options: Horrific choices. NOT vegetarian friendly!

Delicious food. Wonderful service. Comfortable dining room. I thought Good Food was my favorite of the group, but Barrington’s takes the cake. Our favorite dishes were the tomato salad, rigatoni and swordfish!

The food here is always out of this world good. It’s so nice to have a restaurant like Barrington’s nearby where we can indulge in a fresh and curated seasonal menu. It’s perfect for a date night, and easily one of the best restaurants in Charlotte. I loved the cornbread dessert topped with ice cream – a bit of sweetness and southern charm!
