How can you give them less then 5 stars! :) Went for the first time, got fried pickles and the Diablo burger. Loved it and I'm not vegan. The wife is. Chased it down with ice cold water. Perfect summer afternoon meal. Great service and could feel the soul that only a small business owner puts into what they produce!

What a gem! We’re new to the neighborhood and I am always on the hunt for good vegan food. My husband and I shared the fried pickles, I had the rodeo burger with Cole slaw, & he had the Diablo burger with kale. We left HAPPILY full. The staff were wonderful, cheery, and welcoming. Looking forward to trying more of the menu in the future. Thanks Bean Vegan Cuisine!

I've easily become obsessed with this Eatery! The food is SO good and SO satisfying. The staff / owner, exceptional people with a real care for the customers. My fav is the tofu finger bowl with a side of chocolate cake! Items are a bit on the pricier side but it's competitive with other vegan locations. I visit a few times a week and try not to go during high-traffic times but honestly would come everyday if I didn't absolutely hate driving on independence (drivers are reckless). Highly recommend 10/10!

I ate at Bean for the first time today and absolutely loved meeting Charlie the owner. The place is 100% vegan. The menu is American with burgers, fries etc. There are salads etc for healthier vegan options. I am really excited to have found another vegan gem! 12 years late but better than never.

The bean is a Charlotte staple, vegan or not. The food is top notch and cooked with love. Charlie is awesome as is the rest of the staff, and yes that even includes Mr. Tijuana Tim Supurra who works the front end. He even took a pause from his hectic, busy shift to allow me to snap a pic. Love y’all!

Great selection of all vegan foods. Friendly staff and cool comic book decorations.

Had their house made bean burger with side of steamed kale. My niece had the portabella salad. Everything was delicious! 😋 Service was friendly and quick. Lots of options to choose from. Addition of rice mixed with beans on my burger gave it nice texture and moisture. Kale was steamed to just slightly wilted and sesame seeds were a good compliment to the flavor. Definitely will keep this on my list for place to eat next time I'm in Charlotte.

Bean Vegan Cuisine is the original vegan restaurant that started it all for Charlotte. Erected about 13 years ago, Bean Vegan is still on the forefront of good vegan eats in the Queen City. The first thing to welcome you into the store is quintessential southern hospitality. The staff are friendly and helpful to the point of saccarine. This is the first mom ‘n pop homeliness I have felt in a vegan restaurant before. The food is a wide range of vegan fast food eats. We ordered the BBQ sandwich and the Jalapeño Burger. The BBQ utilized soy curls which gave it a stronger resistance and “toughness” of the bite than a typical jackfruit BBQ. The burger showcased fried jalapeños that provided crunch and heat. The food was a perfect satiation for salty, fatty food. But, like non-vegan fast food, it’s best occasionally to prevent that brick in your stomach feeling. For dessert we had the chocolate cake which was some of the best tasting vegan cake I have ever had. Do not pass up on this choice. As the owner let us know, the cake was taken from a depression-era old family recipe — and didn’t take much adjusting to accommodates plant-based palette during a time when milk was hard to come by. The only downside I could mention is the atmosphere. The exterior could really use some loving attention and the sign is fading away. Aside from that, the location is built right on a busy highway, and this makes it difficult to enter and leave the parking lot. However, these small complaints don’t take away from all the good that is Bean Vegan Cuisine. If you are in Charlotte looking for lunch, you have to pay a visit to this Southern town’s OG vegan hotspot.

Our first time visiting and we all liked it. We had lunch during the week, so it was fairly quiet inside. They had a good variety of dishes to choose from. It's not in the best area location-wise, but now that we know it's tasty, we'll go back in the future.

Disappointed. They stopped selling the dairy free soft serve ice cream. We tried to call ahead, but no one answered the phone.
