Place continues to crush it on quality and nostalgia!!! I will continue to go back until it does not! Love this place.

My wife and I wanted to experience this venue for our anniversary because we went there many years ago. I have to say the service was excellent but was disappointed in the overall food quality. Everything was pretty good except for the side dish. We both had the balsamic glazed Brussels sprouts. Both were way overcooked and we made a comment to our server. She apologized but never offered to make it right. Not sure we'll go back again.

Exceptional experience, as usual! Benita was wonderful. I had my nine-year-old granddaughter with me. Benita worked with her on choosing an appropriate dish and even made her a lemonade! The grilled chicken was moist and flavorful. The filet, medium rare, was perfect. I had the chowder and brussel sprouts were great. My granddaughter wanted cucumbers instead of a salad. Benita was again accommodating.

Best meal ever! Our server, “D” was amazing and the food was outstanding as always. I had not been in a long time and it was better than ever!

Excellent food. The seafood may have even been better than the steaks. Our waiter/bartender Viktor was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional.

The classic, old-school steakhouse atmosphere was a nice touch, and our server was absolutely wonderful—so pleasant and attentive throughout the evening. They did get quite busy, but that's to be expected. Unfortunately, we had a few issues with the food that kept us from fully enjoying our meal. While the steaks were cooked to a perfect medium-rare, they were incredibly salty, to the point of being inedible. This was also the case with the sautéed mushrooms, which were overly salty but also a bit soggy. The brussels sprouts were undercooked and hard, almost raw, which was disappointing. The mashed potatoes were fine, but the only thing we truly enjoyed was the complimentary cheese and crackers. It's been a while since I've dined here, and it seems like the quality of the food has changed significantly since my last visit. It's a shame because the atmosphere and service were great. I hope this feedback is helpful.

Extremely Disappointed — Longtime Loyalty Disregarded We've been loyal customers of Bean n Bottle for years — not just for the food, but because of the people, especially Catherine, who has become like family to us. The entire staff is amazing, and we love them all. Catherine is just someone we hit it off with in the beginning when we started going. She is one of the kindest, most genuine individuals you could hope to meet, and her service is a big reason we've continued to come back regularly — often every other week. On Saturday, we brought out-of-town guests who had heard us rave about the place. As always, we asked to be seated with Catherine. Shockingly, the manager informed us that she would not be allowed to serve us because she was five minutes late — and under a new policy, staff who are late aren't permitted to wait on tables even if customers specifically request them. Not only was she not allowed to speak to us, but we were told that if we walked out, she would be sent home. This left us stunned and incredibly uncomfortable. We stayed — reluctantly — and still spent over $500, but the experience was upsetting and frankly embarrassing, both for us and for Catherine. Our guests had driven over an hour, expecting to enjoy what we had always described as a welcoming, familiar spot. Afterward, I called the owner to express our concerns. Unfortunately, the response was cold and dismissive. He doubled down on the policy, saying "business is business," and showed no regard for us as long-time patrons. What he fails to understand is that while this may be a rule intended for staff, it's the customer who ends up being punished. We should never have known there was even an issue — the handling of it made everything awkward and disappointing. This was about more than food. It was about relationships, trust, and respect, and this visit shattered all three. The loyalty we've shown over the years was clearly one-sided.

I have eaten at beef and bottle for many years. I always take guests from out of town to show them. What a wonderful Charlotte treasure it is.

Super cool throwback vibe and outstanding service. Steak of course tastes awesome. Would highly recommend!

I love this place. The food and staff is amazing. The quarters are fairly tight. If you happen to get sat near a loud table, your experience can be compromised.
