If we could give more stars, we would. First time at Bentleys but will absolutely not be our last. Food was EXCEPTIONAL, and a wonderful, diverse menu. Servers were highly knowledgeable and attentive. Bruce (one of our waiters) is the best!

This was my first time visiting Bentley's. I've been wanting to go since they were Bentley's on 27 but never got a chance to. The ambiance was great, the food and wine selection was amazing along with the service! I will definitely be returning. Thanks team Bentley's!

Food is exceptional. Service is lacking for a place this nice. Casual approach to fine dining is okay, but it took the staff 20 min to take our appetizer order and we finished our appetizers and waited another 20 minutes after we were done eating before waitress received our entree orders. Staff is nice, but lacks attention. Still highly recommend.
Atmosphere would be far better with better music and by dimming the lights.
I would go back regularly for the food. Quite exquisite.

New Years Eve. The food was pretty mediocre. The filet I had was even a bit tough. The shrimp appetizer didnt taste fresh. It was very expensive for what it was. I don't mind paying that much but when I do, I expect quality food at a minimum. There was no valet parking. It just wasn't a good experience for us.

The quality of the food was top notch...flavor, presentation and serving sizes. The restaurant and bar are also beautifully maintained. We reviewed the website prior for dress code & corkage policies, and we were clear only 1 outside bottle permitted. Even though we brought only 1 with our party of 4, we were rudely reminded of the policy immediately after we were seated. From then on, it seemed the servers were inattentive & slow with both cocktails & appetizers. Disappointing for 4 of us dining there on NYE on a 1st impression.

Excellent atmosphere for a delicious dinner. Taylor did a great job explaining and taking care of our orders. Try the tuna tartare and the barramundi for sure. ECHANTE and Blessed Be

The food was beyond delicious. The escargot was the best I have ever had. My favorite is the bourbon filet and it was perfectly prepared. Service is amazing and friendly. Great dinner with friends. Can't wait to come back.

I had one of the worst dining experiences of my life at Bentley’s Charlotte last night; I brought someone special here for her birthday and expected a refined evening. What we received instead was rushed service; lukewarm food; dismissive management; and an unprovoked verbal confrontation from a staff member as we were leaving.

To start, our server Jaime was pleasant; however the pacing immediately felt rushed. We had just ordered cocktails and appetizers and were trying to relax, talk, and enjoy each other’s company. Despite that, she hinted that we should order everything at once and assured us she would “course it out.” We were not ready; and when she came back again asking for our entrées, I had to stop her and ask if there were any specials. Only then did she share them. It clearly felt like the goal was to turn the table quickly and not allow us to enjoy the evening at our own pace.

When our entrées arrived, both dishes were lukewarm; not restaurant-quality hot; so technically cold. I ordered the New Zealand Elk Chops medium rare; the doneness of the meat was correct; however the temperature to taste was not. My date’s Stuffed Shrimp Provencal was also barely warm; she simply chose not to make it an issue.

Before our server could return, another staff member approached the table; a barback or server who introduced himself using three names, the middle being Taylor, with a foreign accent. He asked how everything was. When I politely mentioned that my dish was not hot, he pushed back and insisted that medium rare meat is supposed to be that temperature. He misunderstood that I was referring to the overall temperature of the dish and not the internal doneness. The conversation was going nowhere; I told him he was going to irritate me and to please get his manager.

The GM, Jim, arrived and repeated the same stance. He told me, “This isn’t a steakhouse; it’s not supposed to come out sizzling.” This comment was unnecessary and insulting. Bentley’s sells steaks; the expectation is that food arrives hot. He eventually reheated the dish; however he offered no apology, no empathy, and no gesture of goodwill even though this was clearly noted as a birthday dinner on the reservation.

The worst part, and the reason I am writing this review, happened as we were leaving. The restaurant was winding down and nearly empty. As we approached the host stand, the same staff member from earlier (the one who introduced himself using three names, with Taylor as the middle name) suddenly yelled from behind the bar, “Hey; you’re rude and need to learn some manners.” I assumed he must have been speaking to someone else; but when I said “Excuse me?” he repeated it louder with an obscenity and said, “You’re rude and need to learn some (said a word that I cant use on Google) manners.” He then began to approach me from behind the bar; the situation escalated quickly and multiple staff members had to physically step between us to prevent it from becoming a full confrontation. It was shocking; unprovoked; humiliating; and unacceptable.

I am a business professional who manages multimillion-dollar relationships in Charlotte; I frequently host clients at fine dining establishments throughout the SouthPark area. I also worked in fine dining for several years throughout college many years ago; I fully understand appropriate service, hospitality, and expectations. What occurred at Bentley’s was unprofessional; hostile; dismissive; and unlike anything I have ever experienced in a dining setting.

I will never return personally or professionally; and I will advise my colleagues to avoid bringing clients here. Bentley’s needs to evaluate its leadership and retrain its staff; no guest should ever experience what we did.

If I could give zero, I would.

Consistently, the best restaurant in Charlotte. Wide range of dining choices with elevated classic choices like tables side Dover Sole, Chateaubriand, and lighter fare like mahi mahi or chicken. Long time owner Jim is always attentive with a longtime cadre of familiar faces tending bar and serving loyal patrons. I go regularly for any reason: solo at the bar, date night, couples outings and private dining celbrations. Thanks to the Bentleys team for another great evening with my wife last night. See you soon.

Went to Bentleys for first time in about 2 months. As always a great meal. Service is always good and professional with very knowledgeable staff. I think the best food in town. Did not ge the Bone in Filet special but it sounded awesome. Had 3 appetizers as was not that hungry and all excellent. Tuna carpaccio, stuffed quail and French onion soup. A friend did the same and said “need to come here more often I had forgotten how good it is”. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

The service was great! The food-lobster bisque, elk chops and flounder-lived up to the top notch rating. We had a lovely meal. 🙏🏻😋❤️
