Bernardin's Restaurant At Ratcliffe

Dear Bernardin's,
I recently attended a private party at your establishment, but unfortunately, the service fell far short of my expectations. One of the servers assigned (Manager James) to our event seemed more focused on socializing with the guests than providing attentive and respectful service.
Specifically, I observed the server being rude to some of the female guests and drinking with the guests, which compromised their professionalism. This behavior not only made some of our guests feel uncomfortable but also reflected poorly on the restaurant.
I hope you take these concerns seriously and take necessary steps to ensure your staff provides exceptional service, especially at private events where hosts expect a high level of attention to detail.

Best place for a nice lunch in Charlotte

What is going on there? The filet and the fish were way overcooked. The fish was dry and the filet was well done and not medium as requested. Presentation was good. But…

Asked for the manager when we were waiting for our check.

The manager was a no show to the table and we waited quite a while. Have no idea why they didn’t stop by the table.

Paid, tipped well, and left.

Our daughter reviewed them and received a snarky response from someone there. So none of us will return. Too many better restaurants.

I have never spent $200 to have overcooked halibut. My friend and I had that and it was dry and her husband had the fillet. It was also overcooked from the temp he requested. Very disappointing.

Food was excellent. Well taken care of by server. The Bar needs attention. Basically a mixed drink bar - need selections of bourbons and rums for those that like their drinks "neat". Only rum selections were Bacardi and Captain Morgan??? I would go back for the food only.

Love Bernardin's but this time I decided to go with something different then my normal chicken piccata or salmon. I ended up getting the Cajun chicken sandwich and the fries was overcooked i cannot eat it. I posted pics

Good restaurant! Food was good and service was excellent

Cam was our server and she was perfect. We were dining to celebrate my wife's birthday and this was the perfect place to celebrate. Appetizers were amazing, as were the entrees and the wine. Fantastic chocolate torte, with a candle, for dessert.

Lovely setting and interior, convenient to the Convention Center area, engaging in knowledgeable staff and delicious food.

First time at Bernardin and it was well worth it. Beautiful restaurant, excellent service by Alex and delicious food. We will be back!

Both of our dinners were absolutely fabulous! I had the elk and my girlfriend had the scallops. The scallops were on a bed of a risotto that was infused with truffle oil. We had two 5 star rated dinners before us!  The elk dinner had a variety of very interesting and wonderful additions on the plate. At the base was a portion of mashed sweet potatoes and the elk sat on top. I wasn't quite sure how this would taste mixing a “sweet potato” with meat right on top of it, but the surprise was ready to come.   The mashed potatoes were infused with a mix of nutmeg/cinnamon, and after about five seconds, after biting into it, a subtle punch of cayenne pepper took over for the finish. It was not overpowering in fact, everything was balanced perfectly.  That first bite was a wonderful surprise. That was unexpected! The garnish was marinated watermelon radishes along with grilled onions. This was a Michelin level dinner that was outstanding and unforgettable .... Nate was our waiter who did an outstanding job for us. Young man willing to help and go above and beyond. Very friendly and engaging and was a pleasure. 

The food was very flavorful. I was stuffed after this meal I shared with my wife.

Highly recommend this restaurant. The food, drinks and service were spot on. The restaurant's ambiance and decor were lovely.

Our food was excellent. Absolutely up to expectations. The server did a great job as well. No complaints at all. I'll definitely be dining here in the future.

Chef missed one important request but otherwise very fine food. Great diverse menu with super service.
