If you can afford it, do the Storyteller Experience. It's akin to the chef's table in other restaurants. Jamie our sommelier and Qulonate our server also knew their stuff to curate an experience for us.

Was really good, pleasantly surprised.Wine was exceptional.Staff and service was beyond compare... would give them 10 stars out of 5.Food was absolutely fantastic, but was a little bit hungry when we left and would have enjoyed more of an explanation as to why it went with the wine... why we were eating what we are.I was thoroughly impressed all around.

This place is a real treat! Beyond excellent hospitality. The host noticed we were leaning forward in our seats and gave us pillows to put behind our backs. The Blind was a great experience - a special way to enjoy a bottle of wine, with well paired courses, especially the duck (pictured here). Even the palate cleanser (a whipped ricotta with shaved frozen strawberries and honeycomb) delighted the taste buds.

For background context, I am someone who would, in my own terms, not seek out a "frou frou" or "food experiences" type of dinner. My preferred wine characteristics are sweet alcoholic grape juice with notes of Welch's. I had already attempted to side step the subtle suggestion of a date night here when my wife recited the summary of a recent article about Biblio suggesting it sounded like "a lovely ladies night idea."However, through chance, my wife ended up with reservations from a friend's misfortune and asked if I wanted to go. I hesitated but committed.I'm glad I did; we had an amazing night that was engaging yet relaxing. I would happily go back for another occasion. And best of all I didn't leave thinking "it wasn't enough food."The atmosphere had clearly been tweaked and tuned and we were suprised at the ambiance for the building layout and materials. We had recently been in another open area layout restauraunt and rushed to leave due to the noise levels. At Biblio we did not feel overwhelmed by other tables' conversations. It was unfortunate that there was a live band outside that I felt detracted from our experience, but luckily they stopped midway through dinner. The entire dinning staff was attentive and pleasant. Our sommelier, Jamie, was fun, informative, and personable. The chef stopped by to walk us through the final course and provide us with a taste of a very rare allocated champagne. We went with "The Blind" where the food is paired to your wine bottle. The food was something I never would have ordered on my own but the majority of the items were outstanding. Each item was engaging and thought out. We had a mushroom dish with a pastry that blew my mind; I couldn't get enough of it. A few items with twists on summer fruits. A delightful seafood pasta course. Even the sorbet was a creative blend of hot and cold. The one thing I didn't absolutely love, I still enjoyed and it was my own fault for not being forward in my tastes. (I've never been a white fish fan and there was a grouper.)Pricing wise, it was relative to the type of dinner experience. For us, it would definitely be a "special occasion" type of night. We also ordered 2 bottles between us and felt they were more than reasonable for "restauraunt pricing" on a bottle of wine.Looking at issus reported on other reviews many of them seem to have been handled when we went: I felt I knew what I was signing up for when ordering. I don't personally condone the idea of an automatic service fee on a party of 2, but at the same time it was clearly communicated that it was already added at the end. It's what we would have tipped and felt it was well deserved and we added additional. The idea of a deposit on a reservation felt odd. But thinking it through, it seems perfectly reasonable on a place with as limited seating as Bilibo and from our situation it was easily transferable and a streamlined process.Reading through other reviews, it's amazing to see an owner standing up for their staff. I hope for continued success for Biblio and their team. We look forward to the experience and chance to dine with the chef next door at their other restauraunt Counter.

Start to finish, we loved our anniversary meal at Biblio. From start to finish the service was fantastic. This place blends really excellent, quality food and wine without feeling stuffy. The concept was really fun, and although it was one of the more expensive dining experiences I've had, it met and exceeded what I expected. The food was all thoughtful, fresh, and well executed. We chose to do The Blind tasting menu, and I was blown away by the quality of the ingredients and how it was put together. Can't want to visit again and see where this team goes.

I came across Biblio reading an article on wants new in the Charlotte area and loved the concept. So, it was a must to celebrate my husband birthday. I'm not really a drinker, but I loved the concept of cooking dishes catered off your selection of wine. This wasn't your typical wine pairing. It was a blind tasting, and we selected a bottle of rose wine. We had no idea what was coming, but the excitement had me satisfied for each dish. A lot of our dishes had ingredients that were freshly picked that day. You could taste the freshness and how light and rich the food was. Now, that chicken butter with the softness from bread just melted all in your mouth. The dinner was so intimate and relaxing that the time just flew away. The staff was very friendly and described the food to a T. Each table had their own story to tell at Biblio. Which ended with a check out recipe in a book. Love it!!!

Out of this world meal. First off, the service and sommelier were excellent and helped me pick a perfect wine. Something that was new to me but right up my alley in terms of what I liked. I did the "blind" tasting menu and it was better than a 2 Michelin star restaurant I had been to recently. The dishes were inventive, thoughtful, well seasoned, and perfectly executed. First I had braised and grilled octopus with an Indian spiced Romanesco sauce which was to die for. Typically octopus is not my favorite but this was perfectly cooked and no rubbery texture.Second, was a pasta dish in a yellow curry sauce with salted chickpeas. I can't overstate this enough that it was the best dish I've had in years. Unbelievable balance with salt, acid, spice, and earthiness. It was quite literally, a perfectly composed dish. The two following dishes were extremely good and creative uses of ingredients such as beats and iberico ham steeped Farro. This restaurant deserves a thousand accolades. It really is an outlier for how good it is. I also have to give credit to Sydney and Elyse for wonderful service too.

Amazing and creative food and even better service. We love this place and it's sister restaurant.

We absolutely love Biblio. The concept of a reverse wine pairing is novel, but exceptionally executed. You tell the Somme/ server what you like for wine, and they bring a few suggestions at different price points. Then, the chef pairs 3 medium sized plates to go with your wine. You can add another bottle without food (for a discount), or you can add additional plates of food for $15 each (which was a bargain). The food and wine were so delicious that we ordered 2 bottles (6 plates) for the two of us. I would ordered another, but my stomach was at capacity. If you are a foodie who loves wine and can afford to splurge, just go. You will NOT regret it. My biggest regret is not remembering to take photos until our food was almost gone. It’s hard to remember everything we ate, but I do remember everything was fantastic!

One of the coolest restaurant's we've been to. Go Blind. You choose the wine with the help of knowledgeable experts. They take your selections to the chef. Who then creates your meal to match.

Delicious food, well presented. Good service. Poor acoustics, very difficult to have a conversation. We had several issues for a party of four. Based on the description and advertising, we were looking forward to the reverse wine pairing concept. The price of their wine is marked up significantly because of that experience. Unfortunately, due to my food allergies, even provided in advance, they weren't willing to do a la cart just for me. It had to be for the whole table because of a BS technology excuse to say they can't figure out how to keep their order tickets organized. If I had known that in advance, I would have opted out to let the rest of the group have the full experience. My wife's duck entre was very undercooked, basically rare, while mine was just right. Additionally, our friend was given the wrong entre. It was nice that they let her have that too while waiting for them to make what she was supposed to have so she didn't have to sit there with nothing or prevent us from eating our main, but she wasn't a fan of what they brought and the correct entre took a while. We all were really excited and looking forward to the experience, but were disappointed by the lack of clarity and several issues we made them aware of without anything offered to make up for it.

Biblio is a great and innovative concept, and exactly what an exciting and growing restaurant scene like Charlotte needs. You can point to Biblio and say this is high quality food and service, and different conceptually than what is offered elsewhere. We had a great experience. The staff was knowledgeable and super friendly. The food was delicious and paired nicely with the red burgundy we selected. Even the check delivery was conceptually different and more memorable than any other restaurant because it arrived like a bookmark in the pages of an old book. I highly recommend Biblio.

What a wonderful time we had. First, it's not the same old format. Next, we love that they don't worry about flipping the tables and you are there as their guest to enjoy your meal . Jamie was our Sommelier and guide tru the meal she was amazing and full of knowledge in her wines .. we ordered the blind meal and were blown away. You order the wine, and the cheft makes the meal around the wine. I was waiting to be short change but so far from the truth. The meal was totally over the top of what we were expecting. The best part was it was cooked perfectly. From the salmon to the duck and all the small plates, everything was perfect . Please, if you are looking for a nice bottle of wine or a change in your high-end restaurants, give Biblio a shot, but please leave the young children with a babysitter.

We always have the best date nights with Chef Sam and his attentive and knowledgeable team. We visited Biblio for dinner in February and we were impressed with the flow and concept. It's a different concept than Counter- so you have to change your expectations of the experience. We sat at the bar for dinner service and the spaces were large enough to still feel intimate like a table. Bill came around and gave great feedback for a wine selection based on our palette interests for the evening. The small tapas plates concept to pair with our wine selection was unique and a new experience for us. I did openly state the food I needed to avoid and the server accommodated perfectly! The food was fantastic. I do like a little more choice and direction with my dinner selections normally, but dining here is more about the experience than getting your favorite thing off the menu every time you return. I think they've updated the concept since we were there in February and we look forward to returning again soon. We hope to bring some friends with us this next time! Thanks to the creative folks who make Biblio a unique experience. ????????????????????
