Korean pulled pork burger was delicious, highly recommend it. Summer roll sushi is also great option if you're looking for sushi. Tequila mockingbird Cocktail is a MUST!!! 10/10
The food is fantastic ! I had the Bento with a burger and a sushi roll. It was the best of both worlds.
The food is never disappointing. It takes us an hour to get to Blacow but it's absolutely worth the drive. My favorite app is the kimchi fries Their sushimi, sushi, and burgers are all astonishingly. My favorite burger is always The Nutty Goat. Absolutely worth trying.
Sadly, we had a bad experience here.We had a reservation. When we walked in, the host sort of nodded at us, looked right at us, and then walked away. This happened a couple of times! We stood in the doorway and waited while the host zoomed around, I guess prepping tables—but not really communicating anything to us! It was super confusing. When we were finally seated, I told our server that I had Celiac’s disease. I wanted to have some sushi, and I ordered a spicy tuna roll and a couple of other things. The server didn’t say anything about my order, but she did bring some gluten-free soy sauce.I had already begun on my sushi when I looked inside the maki roll and found crunchy bits of tempura inside the spicy tuna mix. This has not been the case at other sushi restaurants. I pointed it out to the server, told her I had just ingested gluten, which I have a severe intolerance to, and she admitted that all of the spicy mixes have gluten in them. That would have been nice to know and I would not have gotten sick from it.After that, another, different server began to check in with us. She was actually really fantastic and very communicative.I believe that I then ordered a different maki roll to replace the one I couldn’t eat. The sushi I did have after that was fine and tasted very good.My partner had the Korean pulled pork burger. He said it was good—but it was also spicy… The water glasses were very small and nobody refilled our water even once, sadly. My partner ordered a Moscow mule, which is his go-to drink whenever we go out. He said it was watery and he did not taste any alcohol at all. ?The restaurant was busy with several big parties. The waitstaff seemed overwhelmed. I think it would have been a very different experience for us if the host had been communicative at all, and if the original server had been looking out for food intolerances. Our last server was excellent but couldn’t turn the whole thing around. ?
Had dinner here with friends on a Saturday night. Staff was kind and welcoming. Food was fresh and delicious. Small issue with the cocktails not coming out as it was expected on the menu, but we let it slide. Other than that, good experience.
Ordered the nagano Turkey burger with a side of Mac, bang bang shrimp, and truffle fries with a sweet tea. The Mac was flavorless and and visually bland. Looks right out of a box. Took a bite and put the top back on. Majorly disappointing. The Turkey burger wasn’t bad but the mix of flavors didn’t make me want to keep eating. The bang bang shrimp, again, not bad but not crazy enticing flavor wise. Sweet tea also underwhelming. The best tasting was the truffle fries, of which I would reorder, but I don’t think that’s enough to visit Blacow again.
The food, service, and drinks were awesome. I love the creativity of the menu; there are lots of options to choose from. It's a cozy spot with friendly and attentive staff.

I don't know why this place doesn't have 5 stars! Seriously underated!!! The staff is amazing...from Dylan our AWESOME host, to Nathan our a OUTSTANDING bartender! The Sushi Chefs we're freakin' machines! The burgers are amazing, I had the Swiss Fun-ghi, not your ordinary mushroom, onion, swiss burger but so much better! The sushi is excellent, and the price is right on (I don't care what anybody says, and that's after we dropped like $500 at Nobu). Definitely try the Charlotte roll and Truffle Salmon. We also had Sashmi that was thick cut so different and so good!!! If you live near here and you don't come here, your soooo missing out!
My daughter & grandson took me here for my 51st birthday and it was amazing! This place has some of my favorite things, sushi, cocktails and awesome burgers, all in one place! The fact you can pick out the type of meat (or meat substitute) was great. I plan to visit this place many more times!
Walked 30 mins to get there. It was worthy 100 times. The personnel was super nice and the food arrived super quickly. The place itself it's very characteristic and beautiful. I ordered the blacow burger (wagyu beef and tempura avocado) and it was really, REALLY something else. Definitely one of the best burgers I've ever had. Prices average for Charlotte (the blacow is a lil bit more expensive) but considering what I ate I feel like it was totally underpaid. Also different discounts on beverages based on days from Sunday to Wednesday, I had a bottle beer at half price. 10/10 place, would definitely come back. Greetings from Italy!

Love the fusion food at Blacow! Great sushi freshly made with high quality ingredients. I love the spicy girl, rainbow and lion king sushi rolls. The Blacow burger is rich and savory leaving me fulfilled even in the smaller slider form. The bento box is my favorite order since I get the best combo of Blacow burger, sushi rolls, fries, edemane and cucumber salad. Very satisfying! I have had doordash orders from Blacow numerous times, but I really enjoyed dining in here for a longer lunch. Wait Staff seemed a little light and rushed, but that's common nowadays. We had a new waitress who did mix up one of our table's sushi orders but they were quick to correct it. Overall great experience and this is one of my favorite places to get delicious sushi and a fantastic Burger! Highly recommend to all!
Great food!! The service was absolutely amazing!
great service great food.
We tried Blacow when we found out that they had a short wait and were close in proximity- totally chose it by happenstance. The service was good, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere was warm and chatty! The quality of meat on the burgers were delicious, my only complaint is that I could barely bit it because it was so massive! Our table left full and with no complaints, prices were average for it being a trendier little spot in South End (about $16ish per person for burger, side and drink, $1-$2 more if you get a premium side). We will definitely be back to try more soon!
Very nice Fusion. Good food, nice setting and great service. We enjoyed our food and conversation. Small but nice selection of Draft beers.
