My partner and I stumbled upon this gem walking in Optimus hall. The service is completely immaculate. The food is very flavorful we got The chicken tikka roll. It was so good we had to re-order it. Jonathan had great customer service as well as the young lady at the front 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend and I can’t wait to come back. I Wish I had pictures to give you guys, but I ate it all 😭

I ordered the lamb burger & the pineapple mule. Both are a must try. The lamb burger comes as 2 Krystal burgers which I liked. I normally cut my burgers in half or fourths. Customer service was just ok. It's a must try.

Batiwalla at Optimist Hall has quickly become a new favorite for my wife and I. We visited twice in three days, drawn back by the outstanding food and exceptional service. The entire staff is fantastic, with a special shoutout to Brett, whose genuine hospitality made a lasting impression. From the atmosphere to the cuisine, Batiwalla is a must-try. Highly recommended!

This was me and my partner’s first; we absolutely Loved it! 10/10 for sure! The young lady who took our order as well as Jonny K were awesome! The staff as a whole are great. Customer service is 100 👌🏽! I tried the Chicken Tikka roll and the Pineapple mule! The tikka roll was so good I Reordered another immediately after. Can’t wait to come back a try a bowl.

Vegetarian/Vegan Friends – You NEED to visit Botiwalla!
Botiwalla by Chai Pani, located in the vibrant Optimist Hall in Charlotte (just a quick hop from the airport), is an absolute gem.
Incredible food + outstanding customer service + spotless interiors + fun, spunky vibes – it’s the whole package!
When it comes to vegetarian and vegan options, Indian cuisine always delivers, and Botiwalla takes it to the next level. Their vegetarian offerings are creative, flavorful, and absolutely worth the trip.
The service was exceptional — we were greeted by friendly, patient staff who took the time to explain the menu, handled our orders seamlessly, kept the dining area clean, and even made sure our takeout was packed with care.
The atmosphere was so warm and welcoming that although we originally planned to grab a quick takeout, we couldn’t resist dining in.
Here’s what we ordered (and devoured), and we’ll 100% be back every time we visit Charlotte:
1. SPDP (Sev Potato Dahi Puri) – Fresh, flavorful, and addictive! (5/5)
2. Gobi 65 – Crispy, spicy cauliflower perfection (5/5)
3. Matchstick Okra Fries – This is pure sorcery — crunchy, salty, and impossible to stop eating (3/5 - too oily)
4. Paneer Tikka Roll – Perfectly spiced and wrapped up beautifully (5/5)
5. Tandoori Vegetable Roll – A veggie lover’s dream (5/5)
6. Paneer Tikka Boti Rice Bowl – Delicious, but we wish it had just a touch more punch (4/5)
We can’t wait to go back and work our way through the rest of their vegetarian menu!
** Bonus points for the thoughtful touch in the women’s restroom, which was stocked with feminine essentials — a small detail that shows big care. Kudos to the management for their kindness and attention to detail!

Easily one of my favorite casual restaurants in CLT! Every visit has been great and every dish I've had has been delicious. The fusion of flavors in their dishes in *chef's kiss* and the Gobi 65 is a must try!
