First time here in a LONG time....it used to be decent food, but not anymore. Psuedo-Cajun is what I'd probably call it. Wasn't crowded, but service was blah. Asked the server for lime for my water and he literally brought me a single lime, in his hand. WHAT?
A friend from outside NC was visiting and I had to apologize for my bad selection of restaurants.

I was so disappointed with my recent visit to Boudreaux’s Louisiana Kitchen. We ordered the Gator Bites, Jambalaya, and Shrimp & Crawfish Étouffée. Unfortunately, all of our food arrived cold. The Gator Bites had absolutely no flavor, the Jambalaya was bland, and the cornbread was dry with a strange, unpleasant taste. I remember visiting years ago and enjoying the food, so I was shocked at how much the quality has gone downhill. Sadly, I won’t be returning or recommending this place to anyone.

Gumbo was spiced well and was clearly made by someone who knows how to cook a good dark roux. . . 10/10, no notes. Their Jambalaya was also solid. We will definitely be back!

I really tried to give this place a fair chance, but unfortunately, I won’t be returning. The Gator Bites appetizer was the only highlight—it was decent. However, the She Crab Soup was extremely disappointing, the Jambalaya was overwhelmed with tomato sauce, and the cornbread was very dry. I genuinely tried to get through my meal, but it just wasn’t for me.

Initially, I decided not to leave a review because I didn’t want to be negative. But as the rest of the food arrived and I tasted my entrée, I felt it was important to share my experience so others can take it into consideration.

This restaurant is fantastic! I've been a few times now and every time I've been blown away by how good the food is! I highly recommend the hush puppies as a starter and the bourbon fried chicken and gumbo for the main course. Perhaps the only negative is that it might take a while to get your food.
It's genuinely bewildering that this establishment isn't more popular! It's got great food and atmosphere in an area with lots of foot traffic but both times my group has been one of maybe three groups dining there. This place should have a line out the door just to get a table.

Our first time trying Jambalaya and Gumbo and it wasn't a good one. It was so bland and the cornbread was so dry it could rival a Popeyes biscuit. The beignets were tough and overcooked, even with the mound of powdered sugar on top. Overall, just disappointed. The one star is for the mango-pineapple mojito, which was decent.

Food was decent but they only had 2 servers that day. We ended up waiting about 2 hours altogether for our food. I got the foghorn Bennie. Chicken was seasoned well and the gravy was well seasoned and flavorful, but the eggs were over cooked and the yolks were not runny.

We came on a Sunday with a party of 11 people and were the only ones there but all of the food came out lukewarm as if it was already made and sitting under a heating lamp. The “mimosa bar” was just mixers for the mimosa and garnishes, it wasn’t a bottomless kind of thing. As someone from Louisiana, this food tasted nothing like back home. It tasted like someone visited Louisiana once and decided they should open this restaurant. The spinach dip made me sick. 0/10.

Disappointed I had to eat a very cold dinner. Our server, Stephanie, brought my dinner out 30 minutes before everyone else’s in our party of 6. For a Saturday night the place was nearly empty. I ordered Corona with NO LIME. Can’t have it. Had to use disinfectant wipes to clean the bottle rim, twice. I believe Stephanie just wasn’t paying attention to our orders. The other 5 people stated their dinner was “okay” because there were a couple of mistakes. Something is off here. The streets were packed with people and no one even came in for a drink.
