We had a very disappointing experience at “Brazilian Way Sports Bar” in Matthews, the main reason being a COCKROACH on my plate. The waiter brought us two extra plates, and when I picked up the first one, there was a dead cockroach on the second plate underneath. He took the plates back and brought new ones. The manager was nowhere to be seen, and only showed up upon my request when I was ready to cash out. The manager, Bruno, said there was nothing he could do other than apologize, and refused to comp the meal since I wouldn’t be recommending this place to anyone. Beyond that, the food was mediocre. As a Brazilian, who drove over a hour to try this place, I was not impressed. The yuca and the rice were super dry, the farofa and vinagrete bland, and the meat quality was average at best.
I went to the restaurant for the first time and the waiter who served me very well was Gustavo, he is very friendly and attentive. I felt like it was the first time eating Brazilian food. He gave me great recommendations. I really liked his service and whenever I go back I want to be served by him. Thank you very much. It is because of employees like him that the company moves forward.

I’m not gonna Live resilience are really fun, but the service was terrible waitress. He didn’t even care about us. He didn’t check on us He was always talking with somebody else, but never in our table. The food was not great and they overpriced a lot.

This review is for they CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST that's done on Sundays.
It is a fairly new thing they are trying and it is a great idea. It is by weight so you serve yourself and then weight the plate to gluons out how much to pay. This is very common in Brazil and I was very excited to come and experience it. We drove there and arrived around 11:30.
The Instagram page said the breakfast goes from 8am - 1 pm.
We arrived at 1130, there was nearly no food left and whatever that was left was cold.
There's about an hour and a half left on the experience and I could not even get a second plate cause not even that they were replenishing.
We told the manager lady that came by the table that we were kind of upset that with plenty of time the breakfast was in such poor shape.
We ate cold food. No eggs were left, no bread at all.... And the warm food was in crock pots, even with that. They turned off the crock pots... they were already off when we arrived... at 11:30? For a breakfast experience that is over at 1pm....
I can understand that this kind of experience can be a gamble and the restaurant owner can lose a lot of money in food waste. But there was ways, maybe leaving the table open passing lunch for those who wake up late like me. Sunday is a day a lot of people go to church.
At 1205 while we were still possibly trying to take advantage of the breakfast that is advertised to be over at 1pm, they started to break down. So we who were still there couple not have any more coffe of any of the food we came to eat anymore, and anyone that could come in last minute for the experience now will not be able to. If it was someone like me who lives half hour away, get here at noon to have the breakfast I would be very angry to drive and get here on time and see them breaking it down.
I told my concerns to the staff and hope it will assist to improve the experience for their guests because this has a lot of potential, but it is not being executed.

The food is good but service was poor twice for me and my family. If you want some good Brazilian treats and willing to put up with inexperienced servers, this is the place. It can also be pricey depending on what you choose.

Terrible experience.. Our waiter was constantly mixing up our food.. Not to mention he brought out two completely different dishes.. I asked for a house salad and when my “salad” came it came with no lettuce.. The food also had a weird smell. Overall I do not recommend i can say though that the lemonade was decent.

I placed an order at 8:04 pm, arrived at 8:24 pm, waited until 9:04 pm and my order still wasn't ready. The children who work at the reception are more interested in chatting with the delivery drivers than in supporting a waiting situation like this. I won't return here after being disappointed for the second time. The first time I came for coffee the tapioca looked like anything but tapioca.
and a big detail is: there are only 5 tables occupied.

My fiancée and I had an afternoon meal here. The waiter seemed very disinterested the entire time. We had never been here before. We ordered the 4 Empanada it was very good. The Feijoada looked like a lot but the meat had a lot of bones, should've been notified, definitely a choking hazard. We had to ask multiple times for water and Coke re-fills. We were also charged a surcharge, again that should've been stated before the bill. We may come back, but there's so many restaurants near by that seem to show appreciation towards the customer.

I had a very bad experience at this restaurant. Many menu items were unavailable, ( palm heart empanadas, chicken croquette, pineaple juice: boiled eggs and salad of kids plate ...) and we were not informed of all missing items until after placing our order and wait for almost an hour, ( fried cassava for example ) with starving young kids. The service was poor, slow, inattentive, and unhelpful, the worst I've ever seen.
To make matters worse, the meals arrived missing key ingredients without any explanation or apology. Overall, it was a frustrating and disappointing visit. I wouldn’t recommend this place based on my experience with family.
If you decide to go, good luck !

Terrible experience. My family of 6 arrived at 1215pm. They said they won't start serving until lunch due to some issues. We said ok no problem. 1245pm we put in our order and start waiting. 130 only a couple items come out and we are asking where is our food. As guest after us are getting their food and families that sat down at 130pm are not getting there food at 2pm.. we will never come back to this location. All excuses and no action. Fix your staffing and issues before opening a restaurant.
