We had a fantastic experience at Burtons Grill! From the moment we walked in, Krisztian made us feel welcome with his friendly and attentive service. The food was absolutely delicious. You have to get the General Tsao’s cauliflower! We also love their cocktails. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a great meal. They did a great job with the recent renovations! Highly recommend Burtons Grill for anyone looking for top-notch food, drinks and service!

I usually love Burtons! I lived in the Hingham, MA area for 18 years and have the best memories there, so I was pretty excited when I moved to Charlotte and saw we had Burtons. The last two times I’ve gone to this location, though, I’ve had the same waiter, and it hasn’t been a great experience. He’s been intimidating, impatient, and not very friendly, which really takes away from the meal.
For example, once I ordered a standard Aperol Spritz, and they brought me one from the menu with extra ingredients and it didn’t taste consistent with the one I ordered at the bar a week prior. When I asked if it was the regular one, he said yes (although you could tell by the color it wasn’t) so I ended up swapping it for a mimosa. Other times, he just seems rushed and makes you feel like you’re cutting him off…which is really off-putting.
The atmosphere and food are still good, but the service hasn’t lived up to what I’m used to from Burtons back in MA. It definitely takes a certain type of experience for me to leave a review, but after both my partner and I had the same issues with this waiter, I felt it was worth mentioning. I’m hoping things improve because I’d love for this to become my go-to spot here in Charlotte, just like it was up north.
Dietary restrictions: I’m gluten free so for this reason, Burtons is usually a go to.

First time visiting this establishment and our waiter did not care to ask, walk us through the menu or list any specials. My order was completely wrong, I received a fish sandwich instead of the short rib grilled cheese and instead of being apologetic and owning the mistake he repeated he swore that's what I ordered. Then my sandwich came with a drizzle of the jus and they had to get more...why not just serve it together? You can see in the picture how empty it is. My sister and I asked for to go containers and they were handed to us with no bag so took one off their station before leaving. Honestly poor service which I boiled down to inadequate training of the staff. Nice patio, plenty of indoor seating. Parking can be tough but a lot of folks park by the Harris Teeter. I may revisit for a happy hour or specials but otherwise go somewhere else. The food was not exciting at all.
Parking: You may not be able to park directly at the restaurant but there is plenty of parking around within walking distance.
