Burtons used to be my favorite restaurant in Charlotte but it’s unfortunately gone downhill. My boyfriend and I went in to celebrate his promotion and he ordered a steak medium. It came out well done so we sent it back. Waited 15 minutes for the replacement for it to be extremely RARE. Will not be coming back, very disappointed in our experience especially since we were celebrating.

This location has consistently put out subpar serving sizes . I paid 8.50 for small salad . And the salad was an xtra small. It always an issue here . Definitely would like a refund . I picked up around closing so I wasn’t going to push the issue . I have gotten this salad many times so I know the correct portion. Highly disappointed

First time here and the experience was very disappointing. Food was short rib grilled cheese was completely tasteless, the au ju was nothing but grease. Buffalo chicken dip was dry and no flavor. The service sitting at the bar was nothing short of being ignored. The GM however was quite pleasant . Do not plan on returning.

My niece had a terrible experience with their staff on her 26th birthday last night. The waiter requested their IDs for drinks and when presented the waiter said because he's not familiar with SC id's he felt their's were fake. He tampered with one of them trying to pull the plastic. He called for a manager which they welcomed. The manager sided with the waiter and basically accused them of having fake ids. When her friend attempted to show her military ID they refused to look at it. My niece decided they should leave because she knows better than to spend her money with people who do not respect her. I am disappointed because when I opened this app to write this review, I see that a close friend gave a positive review. Clearly the issue is with the color of their skin coupled with their youthful appearance. Not okay and terribly disappointed. This will not be the last review. We are tired of the unnecessary judgemental interactions. If you can serve one tou can serve all.

Totally love the fact that I am safe there. Its was super awesome to have a full menu of options that go beyond salad. The salads are really small for the price so def would recommend something a little heartier.
Bummed that the only way to get on the rewards train is via an APP. I am super app'ed out and very tired of not being able to get promos because of it. Once, I thought I d be a regular. Now, not so much. Seems silly to some but really deters my choices as to where I want to spend my money regularly.

Great Atmosphere and Tasty Wings
I visited Burtons Grill and Bar on a Saturday night and was pleasantly surprised by the number of people dining there. Despite it being past prime dinner hours, the restaurant was still lively, which spoke to its popularity. The space is roomy, offering both indoor and outdoor seating, making it a great spot for family gatherings or a quick bite before a movie.
That said, if you have a more experienced palate, the food may not fully hit the mark. We started with the honey sriracha wings, which were pretty good. As a self-proclaimed lychee martini lover, I couldn't resist trying theirs, but I have to say it missed the mark—more citrus than lychee. They might want to revisit that recipe or consider taking it off the menu.
I did end up sending back my initial dish because it was lacking flavor. Thankfully, our waiter was very understanding and suggested I try the bolognese instead. That dish was a winner and hit the spot, packed with the flavor I was hoping for.
We ended the night on a high note with the 6-layer chocolate cake, which was delicious and large enough for three people to share. The fresh bread served at the beginning of dinner was also a nice touch—I especially enjoyed the pesto spread.
Overall, Burtons is a great spot for a casual family meal or pre-movie bite, but it might not be the best fit for those with more refined tastes. Still, the service was excellent, and the ambiance makes it worth a visit.

Having food allergies and dietary restrictions, we felt safe knowing they take extra care to accommodate not only gluten-free diners but also those with peanut, egg, shellfish, soy, and sesame allergies. We tried the gluten-free bread—it was delicious, and our meals were hot, tasty, and made with fresh ingredients! The highlight was the gluten-free donuts for dessert. Our waiter, Dewayne, was friendly and knowledgeable, explaining the restaurant’s concept and how the owners prioritized creating a place where people with or without food allergies could enjoy a great meal. Highly recommend this spot for anyone with dietary restrictions or looking for fantastic food!
