We ordered for our wedding cakes. We had so many compliments on them. Our coordinator said it was the best cake she had ever had and we agree! They were beautiful and tasty! Which is so hard to get! I would recommend them to anyone. Very easy to work with too!

I heard about BW Sweets Bakery from Facebook. I drove 32 miles round trip from Concord NC to try it. First Impression as my very first time coming there soon as me and my husband walked in we were not greeted with a hello nothing! My husband asked if they had peach cobbler instead of using her words she just pointed her finger to the end of the counter! When I asked if I could take a pic of her sign for my instagram reels(a post to promote & support) the business she was very dry never asked was it our first time visiting, have we been there before NOTHING! After we paid she simply asked did we want a receipt we said no thanks she turned around walked back to the back of the store without so much of a thanks for shopping there today or at least waiting until we left the store! The customer service was very DRY! Not worth a 32 mile drive on a rainy Sunday afternoon and people complain no one supports black owned business! I didn't try my dessert yet but no matter how good it taste I will never go back! All it took was a SMALL moment of consideration!

I will never order cake anywhere else for our families parties! This was my first time ordering a professional cake and was not disappointed! Communication was on point, they were clear in payment and time frame, and their choice of decoration fit our theme perfectly! The cake was so delicious as well; all the guests asked where we purchased it and took pictures of their business card before they left.New customer in me, but my extended family will be reaching out as well! So happy I went with this bakery after it came highly recommended from a friend of mine. When I initially reached out they took their time going over all of the small details of my big order of cake, cupcakes and cookie favors for my bridal shower. All of our items come out even better than the photo inspirations I sent them. Everyone raved about how cute AND delicious they were. I was so happy they were able to deliver the day of the event to help relieve some of my stress. I will definitely be placing future orders with them, they really knocked it out of the park!

It's changed so much. I literally would always brag about BW sweets. How they are the best black owned bakery in Charlotte. Today I was highly disappointed. I paid about $6 a slice for this cake I could have gotten from food lion. Didn't taste like bakery quality at all. Not to mention the butter pecan cake made me sad. Not sure what happened but I felt like I wasted money. I got the lemon and butter pecan slices. I won't be back.

They do sell others and each one taste amazing but that one is my favorite.Serving size should be half if you can but most of time, the indulgence will not let you stop eating it.The slices are huge but with each bite they taste good.Try them and tell them Melissa from Trinity Counseling Services LLC upstairs sent you.

Very disappointed…I’m lost for words because this has not been my experience until lately. My last two orders have been incorrect. First I order Cherry New York Style Cheesecake.. received Strawberry instead.. would of not been a big deal but I’m allergic to Strawberries. Order Cherry New York Style Cheesecake against everything inside of me because I felt they would under deliver again, but I gave them one more chance… failed again. I received something with whipped cream and cherries on-top but a red velvet base. What is that? B W Sweets… I’m done
I’m so sorry to leave this review but this was a HUGE disappointment! I love Pineapple Upsidedown Cake! Always have the wet juicy sweet creamy cake delivering all that sweet perfection! However this was my first time buying here this cake wear dry dense and mushy around the top where the pineapple was..I have never met a PUC I did not get along with.. yes I’m a fatty pitatty who loves fresh baked goods!Loved the service and the vibrancy of the counter person!! I came home ate dinner pulled out my cake got west to go to cake heaven and was☹️ Very much surprised and let down. I don’t know what to say in tents of what went wrong With this cake but I threw it away I couldn’t eat it.And here I thought I found my go to spot

We stopped here yesterday hadn’t been in a while. We were very disappointed it did not taste the same at all! The cake seem like it had been sitting out too long. The icing was good but the cake was the worst. The Rice Krispie was not good at all. Really couldn’t taste any marshmallows and very buttery. They get the two stars because they lady that was there was very pleasant and I loved her beautiful smile and personality.

I've been here several times over the years. The owner's attitude is extremely poor and I can't keep supporting the place. It really sucks because I like what they offer but I like being treated with respect more. Over the last year or two, I've had multiple interactions with the owner himself that have been not satisfactory. At first, I wrote it off as him possibly being overwhelmed because they have multiple locations or maybe just having a bad day. I actually avoided writing this review because I didn't want a single interaction to shape my whole view of the place, but I've had SEVERAL interactions that have all been the same. He cares more about money than actually making customers happy and that's clear. Rude service, staff (nearly every time I've been there) seems like they either don't know or don't care to answer any questions you have, and this all reflects their leadership. It's almost like its a nuisance to be a customer to them. Long story short, I won't be back.

I would highly recommend BW Sweets. They made 40 cupcakes for my twin's birthday party and they came out fantastic! The look on their faces as they ate them was a real highlight for me. The Red Velvet and Oreo cupcakes were so moist and flavorful. The frosting was perfect, not overly sweet. Customer service was great and I'm very happy I could support a local family owned business. I'll definitely be back!

Cake presentation is nice.When I call it’s kind of a mess trying to talk to someone; gave up and placed an order online but wish I could have talked to a person beforehand. The icing is way too sweet. The cake itself is good but I couldn’t get past the ball of sugar in my mouth. I tried several cupcakes and all had the same issue; overly sweet. I understand sweetness is different for everyone but four of us tried and it was the same issue.Thanks!
