Drove many miles to stop and eat here at about 7:30pm and dining room was closed with only drive thru service. Sad day.

The experience was horrible. Wanted to try something different so I ordered the mini boo boo shrimp and sausage jambalaya. The small tiny shrimp were full of bowel movement, it was more bowel movement than shrimp meat. It was watered down I didn't see any sausage. When spoke with MacKenzie management at the time about that particular dish, and asked if I could switch out that particular dish for something else? I was going to buy an additional fish plate anyway. She stated she could not switch it out just because I did not like it, I stated to her that was false advertisement, I had no idea the shrimp was going to be so tiny, and the dish was going to be so watered down again she stated that she couldn't do it and wouldn't do it. I then requested corporate number she stated that I will be speaking with corporate manager by the name of Henry. My only problem with this is that customers are always right, we spent$35 in Captain D's and I can't switch it out for something that I want that's not listed as a false advertisement nott to mention about the cleanliness of the establishment it is filthy windows are nasty it looks like they've never cleaned their Windows a day in a year or so floors are filthy bathrooms nasty it's a few good workers in the like the one that that accepts the money the cashier I don't blame her for asking for tips she deserves it, in the Drive-Thru worker he's a nice guy even though he has to stand at that nasty filthy dusty dirty drive-thru window all day to take orders but he does a good job and the cook is awesome!! And they have other employees a few crackhead is working there they are in and out the door the whole work schedule. I advised that no one I MEAN NO ONE GOES TO EAT THEIR CAPTAIN D'S SUNSET ROAD CHARLOTTE NORTH CAROLINA ESPECIALLY IF MACKENZIE IS WORKING. ALL RIGHT THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR LISTENING I AM IN THE PROCESS OF CONTACTING CORPORATE SO THAT I CAN GET TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS I DON'T WISH THIS ON ANYONE THIS EXPERIENCE WAS A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE IT MADE ME NOT WANT TO EAT FISH EVER AGAIN I AM TOTALLY AGAINST FISH RIGHT NOW. I ordered the grill white fish over rice with shrimp skewers, broccoli and okra. You didn’t even put the shrimp in there. My fish wasn’t even fully cooked and it looked like fake fish. The texture was soggy. My rice was hard. I love captain Ds, but y’all let me down with this one. Unbelievable. Too much season on the fish idk what y’all doing up there but this was a disaster. The sides and bread were the only thing good as well as my Diet Coke.

I had the absolute worst experience. The so called “owner” Henry was super unprofessional and disrespectful. I asked for an item to be substituted and Henry flew off the handle and refused me service. I don’t suggest eating at this establishment if you don’t want to be disrespectful and made sick. Did I mention I ended up with food poisoning? Stay away, stay away!

Please don’t waste your money here you have to ask for ketchup and more Tatar sauce then when you ask for more Tatar they charge and the Tatar sauce is in 1 oz cups so basically you’re only getting a scoop the location on freedom drive is wayyyyy better! You get your money’s worth. And the customer here isn’t good

Employees playing in the background.....laughing...telling customer "no" over the drive thru about your order!! Teasing and badgering customer at the drive thru!!!! The combo came with 2 sides, so I asked 4 double fries...Not! They Scammed my niece on her 🍟.
Just came here about 6:00 doors was locked for us to go through drive-thru order the deluxe platter got home french fries hard and cold I guess they cooked them earlier today and just let them sitting out under the light that stuffed crab that came with this meal was disgusting I don't know what the hell it was I had to spit it out so this whole meal cost me $14 it was a waste the The fish was decent in the shrimp didn't really have flavor. I will not recommend this unless they're going to cook their food fresh while you wait.

Went pass this place last night, along with their neighbors..which I've left a review for..wish we would've kept driving after he said cash only! What kind of place has no card service as many people ride around with cards only🤔We ordered the seafood deluxe..with okra & mac/cheese..he yells out no okra..no corn?? Ok. Normally we have to wait on the deluxe platter. He took the cash..handed the food over..we left. We live on the opposite end of this restaurant mind you. Open the box..the fish*HARD* crab cakes*HARD* hush puppies*HARD*...the only thing that was decent were the green beans & shrimp. Not to mention they've scaled down on what they give you. I might as well have ordered a 2piece. The place was so dark it looked like a night club. I think because this place is off the highway..and the majority of their customers are probably one and doners..they could careless about great food and customers returning!! Well as the Gen Z's saying" say less" !! I won't be back!!!!!!PS you should pay me for the 1 star I gave as you don't deserve that!!!!!!

Worst location ever. No card payments every single time I go. Also they had no grilled meals(probably because they don't want to clean the grill). They definitely lost 2 customers as we will not be returning. Also definitely spreading the word on this one as I've given this place multiple chances....
