Something has changed at this location, either the management/Owner or Cook, there has been a big change to the food. The taste is not the same and I have never received a small portion of shrimp in the past. I’ve gone three times in the past 45 days and the food is surprisingly not good tasting as it once was. They have cleaned up the store front from it having people sleeping everywhere.

Paid for a large curry chicken and literally received 4 small pieces that were mainly bones and no meat! Portions keep getting smaller and smaller! I have given them several chances! I won’t be a returning customer!

This place is so Horrible! The man taking my order (short, slightly heavyset, balding) was INCREDIBLY nasty. He was so hostile that I just decided I didn't even want to eat there anymore!! I WILL NOT BE BACK!!

Great vibe for a Friday evening with great music and delicious food.

Today I purchase a small jerk chicken and the chicken was old. Please take care of your customers because it's not right to take customers money and they don't get what they paid for. Treat customers the way you want to be treated.

3 oxtail plates later and $87...small portion of oxtails fit in small section of carry-out container and cabbage in the other small section, 2 slices of plantain, rice in the largest section.
I'll wait for my regular spot to open next time. #mamascaribbeanoncentral

Food is better after 3pm . For some reason when I order Uber eats around 11:00am - 1:00pm I keep getting the uncooked rice soaked in a puddle of jerk sauce or curry. The presentation is messy! The food is definitely better after 3pm in my opinion

The food is good but I got mostly bones on a$25.00 plate of curry goat. My husband also got two wings and two small chicken drumsticks on a lg plate… that’s disappointing for the cost… it’s good but not worth the price.

I bought jerk chicken plates which cost me about 30 bucks. I could tell from the first bite the chicken was not fresh, may had been left overs from the day before and very salty. They smothered everything with jerk sauce which made things even worse. We threw away both plates. I will never go eat there again. Anyone that read this please stay away from this place.

When I took a bite of my patty it’s a bit hard on the outside of the edges. It doesn’t look like the patty that I ate from the other Caribbean hut at North Tryon. Over there, their patties was pretty big and fresh out of the oven. This one is not. and their Cocoa bread is a bit hard and not fresh as well. I didn’t want to finish it. Overall, The service is good the place is nice but food could have been a bit better. Maybe if I come over here again and order something else maybe I’ll change the rating but other than that it’s not so great.

In town for work and googled any kind of food near my hotel. I am so happy that I stumbled across this place. Lovely service at the front counter, and the food was amazing. Highly recommend the curry chicken. Will come back when Im next in town.

I'm surprised at the poor reviews. My experience was good! A bit of a language barrier either Jamacian, Patois, or Creole? And English was heavily accented, but hey I got a curry chicken combo. It was steaming hot, smelled and looked delicious, plenty of curry gravy, plantains, cabbage, a bit of peas and carrots. Oh and a cold cold Red Stripe. Fun people singing and Rasta music. Definitely was a great culinary twist. I went later in the evening when it wasn't so busy, so maybe that is the trick! I'm feeling irie mon!
