Stumbled upon this place and SO glad we did. Sat at the bar. The deviled eggs were interesting-- like a deconstructed, deviled egg salad.
The mahi tacos were excellent - I got a side of clam chowder and it was so fresh and hot - not overly heavy/creamy.
The lobster shrimp roll was stuffed to the brim - loved the fresh herbs.
Looking forward to coming back to try their happy hour! Very pleasantly surprised.

10/10 will come again! First time here for a galentines dinner and our server was phenomenal. The restaurant is so cute they also validate parking! They had a drink special for 11$ certain drinks and they were delicious. I got the short rib pasta and I will definitely be returning to order it again. For apps we ordered the deviled eggs, Parmesan fries, and the bread which didn’t disappoint! Overall phenomenal experience. Recommended to all my friends.

The service and food was the best! Make sure you make a reservation- they're packed every night. Love that they help each other get out the food so your food's still hot. Try the crispy brussel sprout appetizer and the rigatoni pasta- great suggestions from our server. Blood orange mocktail was refreshing. Definitely coming back to try more. It is a little noisy inside during the dinner rush. Parking lot across the street was full so you might need the parking garage near by.

Absolutely AMAZING!!! My family and I attended for my sister-in-law's birthday brunch, and it was a premium experience. We did have a reservation. Our server was immaculate!! The food was delicious, presentation was so well put together. My sister-in-law received and unexpected dessert and a gift card, everything was just so nice!! I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant.

Went with some friends after an event in Charlotte. The restaurant was moderately busy and we were told it would be about a 30-minute wait since we didn’t have a reservation.

After 30 minutes, a hostess walked by and asked if we were even on the waitlist. After an hour, we checked again, she knew our party name and said she would “do a lap” to update us on the timing, which she never did.

In the just over an hour we were waiting, at least 12 tables were cleared and seated, yet we never received any updates or a realistic wait time. Unfortunately, we ended up leaving without ever being seated.

Disappointing experience, mostly due to lack of communication and waitlist management.

Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish! The food was outstanding, the service was attentive and seamless, and the atmosphere was perfect for our celebration. We had a large party, and the staff handled everything effortlessly, making us feel welcomed and well taken care of the entire time. It was the ideal place to celebrate a special event, and we’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

Catalina in Charlotte was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The food was incredible every bite was flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care.
You can really tell the kitchen knows exactly what they're doing.
What truly made the experience unforgettable, though, was the service. Our server, Corryn, gave us the best service I have had at a restaurant.
Attentive without being overbearing, super friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely made us feel welcome the entire time. Corryn elevated the whole night. At one point my husband was taking a bite of his food and had a look of awe, a manager walked by and saw him and asked what was wrong or if we needed anything but my husband explained that the food was so good he could cry. Haha we had a good laugh at that.
If you're looking for phenomenal food and top-tier service, Catalina is it. We will 100% be back-especially if Corryn is working!

This is a great spot to go hang out and relax with some delicious food and drinks! If you’re going for the Parmesan fries and cocktails, go on a Tuesday during happy hour!! 100000000/10 would recommend this place to a friend and I will definitely be back!

If you’re looking for the perfect blend of upscale vibes and genuine hospitality in Charlotte, look no further than Catalina Kitchen + Bar. Our recent visit was nothing short of spectacular, and I can’t recommend it enough.
From the moment we arrived, the service was top-tier. We were running late for our reservation but the hostess was incredibly gracious and accommodating. Instead of making us feel rushed, she welcomed us with a smile and seated us right away.
The highlight of our evening, however, was our waitress. She was absolutely amazing! Her timing was perfect, her recommendations were spot-on, and she brought a warm energy to the table that made the whole meal feel special.
What truly blew us away was how they handled our birthday celebrations. We had a few people in our group celebrating, and the restaurant went above and beyond. They had custom birthday labels at the table for every birthday guest AND each birthday guest was given a gift card as a present from the restaurant!
How amazing is that?! I’ve never seen a restaurant show that level of thoughtfulness and generosity.
The ambiance at Catalina is a vibe all its own. The atmosphere is stunning, chic, modern, and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a celebration.
And then there’s the food. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can tell the kitchen team takes immense pride in their craft. From the first bite to the last, we were thoroughly impressed.
Between the delicious menu, the beautiful setting, and the standout staff who treat you like royalty, Catalina Kitchen + Bar has officially earned a spot at the top of my Charlotte favorites list.

We ate at Catalina Kitchen and truly can’t get over how amazing the food was. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond with thoughtful suggestions for our friends who have gluten and dairy allergies, which we really appreciated.

The food came out quickly, was beautifully presented, and most importantly absolutely delicious. You can tell care is put into both the service and the dishes.

We started with the Parmesan fries, and I’m not exaggerating when I say it looked like a silky chicken was sitting on top of them with the amount of Parmesan. Absolute perfection.

If you’re bringing kids our daughters split the chicken Parmesan and it was the perfect portion. Not a crumb left behind; plates were literally licked clean.

The deviled eggs were insanely delicious and meticulously plated (almost too pretty to eat… almost). I personally got the poke bowl, and it was incredibly fresh the pineapple was the perfect unexpected addition that tied everything together beautifully.

Every dish felt thoughtful, well-executed, and so satisfying. We’re already talking about what we’ll order next time.

We would highly recommend Catalina Kitchen and can’t wait to come back!

I have had a wonderful experience every time I have eaten at Catalina's which I think is four times now. We are usually there for dinner but I have been once for lunch. Everything I've ordered there, which is something different each time, has been very very good. Their cocktail selection is delicious. The location is nice being close to uptown and other things without being in downtown. Definitely make reservations even on a night you think you might not need to because one time I did try to go on a Wednesday night and it was an hour wait which was surprising, but now I always make reservations ahead of time.

My sister and I went for the first time today and our server, Brooke, was literally an angel. So attentive towards us and gave wonderful food suggestions! Everything we ate was delicious and so fresh. Definitely coming back to this place.
