Grabbed a couple quick goodie bag meals and they were delicious. Chicken and rice with a dip or sauce (it was so good in and of itself) and a side salad. Shopped the market as well and they have a really nice selection of Mediterranean items. Will definitely be back!
Love their baklava
Didn’t receive all the food we ordered and the portion sizes were small. Meat was way over cooked and chewy. For the price. I would not recommend.
I will be honest, never heard of this place until I saw them pop up on the Too good To Go app, so figured no better time to try them than a discounted meal. I walk in and was greeted by the friendly employee behind the counter. Very cute little grocery store/restaurant serving international food. I checked out the grocery side while I wanted on my meal to be fixed. They had so many items, ones I admit I didn’t quite know what they were but that’s the beauty of it all lol. Anyways my food comes up, and let me tell it was delish! So flavorful and fresh! It was so good I had to go back the next day. And believe me when I say I’m gonna keep going back. Great experience.
It was my first time eating here. I was greeted when I entered. It's a small grocery store that sells food and also raw meat. The rice was delicious. The chicken was good too. I had half a chicken and I had Lipton soup. I definitely will try it again. The prices were reasonable. The customer service you will receive Will be great. And the wait was nothing but roughly 5 minutes.
Me and my husband drove from Raleigh and spent over $100 in groceries here, they have a good selection of hookah stuff, BUT astaghfirullah that we had to throw this food away. This food was terrible, burnt, old, dry, and looks like dog poop unfortunately. These Kebabs were definitely not fresh, two minutes after we ordered we got the food.
EDIT: The owner is very rude and disrespectful. I should not have to ask for the food to be remade. You should not be selling OLD DRY INEDIBLE food. Don’t be mad because I’m saying the truth, and you had to pay for a instagram influencer to come to your business. It’s not on the customer to make sure they’re provided a good meal/service. I wouldn’t even consider this authentic Arab cuisine. Oh, and FYI I made the review after I left your dirty establishment. Shame.

Wanted to love this place, because it looks authentic. They had a paid partnership with some digital creators on instagram. Unfortunately, the food is very subpar and does not look anything like the food in those videos. You would assume that presentation of each item would be similar to what was represented in the pictures and advertisement, but it does not. Even for take away, it should somewhat resemble what was advertised. I’ve had lots of middle eastern, Mediterranean food and this is one of the worst.
I ordered cedar for 2 which was supposed to be: Shish kebab (4), Shish Tawook (4), Kofta Kebab (2), a bunch of Beef Shawarma & Chicken Shawarma, Hummus, Rice, Salad, Fries & Pita Bread.
I got 1 kofta kebab, plus 1/4 of another. (I actually didn’t realize until after breaking into one and eaten it.
By 4 shish kebabs and shish tawook, they mean 4 pieces…not 4 actual kebabs. In my experience, when a restaurant say 4 kebabs they actually mean 4 kebabs NOT 4 pieces of meat that was part of 1 kebab.
The shish kebab was the only item that wasn’t dry.
Both shawarmas were very dry and hard to chew through. They actually give you a “bunch” of those. Aside from being dry, they were not appetizing to look at and lack flavor.
This item on their menu is not worth it and gives them an opportunity to dupe you out of getting everything you paid for.
We also got half the rotisserie chicken with rice, hummus and grape leaves. Their rice was actually pretty good. Rotisserie chicken was fairly moist, but again, not flavorful.
Grape leaves were ok.
Hummus and baba ganoush good, but not great.
Overall, I would pass on this place and look elsewhere. The guys were nice, the food was not.
Update: owner’s response below…rude and unprofessional. I was in no way being disrespectful in my review above. In fact, the last sentence in my review said “the guys were nice”. Either way, no change in my thoughts on the food: still subpar, dry and underwhelming.
Thanks for the clarification on how many pieces of “shish” I should get and what it means to you. I always thought the definition of shish was skewers. In any case, You still shorted us 1 kofta kebab…my apologies, you shorted us 3/4 of 1 kofta kebab, because we got 1 and 1/4 instead of 2.
Be for real for real, your food is not good. Don’t act like my “understanding” and education on Arabic food would change that.
Friendly service and great food!
Food is everything.. be sure to get the half of chicken , rice and salad
Restaurantji Recommends
Eating here since 1998 great food and it’s fresh taste always
Very bad service and unjustified delay in orders, and after all this they blame you for the reason, even though you can find their food in any other Arab restaurant, or you can cook it yourself at home if you watch one video on YouTube.
In short, we will star in vain without any advantages or differences
This was my second time and it is my last
The Rotisserie Chicken was super dry, and had a foul smell. Chicken was so bad, and the rice was sticky (almost like it was reheated). There are plenty of other Mediterranean restaurants, you can easily skip this one!
Absolutely the best food I've eaten in CLT! The falafel, hummus, and knafeh are amazing! Such a perfect treat in this rainy weather!! Excellent service and grocery selections too!! Already planning my next trip!
Yummy !!!!!!! We had the baked chicken , lamb, rice , and sides!!!!! It was so amazing !!!!!!!!thank you for making my Mother’s Day food! I will make this a tradition! My mom is soooooo picky and loved everything . It was great option for a single mother that takes care of her family . Thank you so much!
