The fried chicken was WAY too salty as if someone poured salt on the skin. The sweet potatoes pie dis bro look not taste like sweet potato pie and had this raw color to it. I don’t know what was going on but this was terrible.

Collard greens too salty pork chop not even frien right.. im done eating here these people dont cook right ..you should see the way they stopped the food on my plate all messy it was all over the bag and container..yuck!! Parkwayhouse resteraunt is waaay better! I should of went there

Ordered the smothered pork chops about two weeks ago and it was delicious but on October 11, 2025 I ordered the smothered turkey wings and it was disgustingly gross because they had no flavor the black eyed peas were dry and pasty cornbread dressing was dry as hell and packed with sugar ( I know the restaurant is on sugar creek but DAMN!!! don’t live up to your street name) I will not eat here again and recommend no one else does either because the prices are high as hell and the food is nasty as hell!!!

I've been a customer for years. I've never tasted 😕 worse Mac and Cheese, than I did last Sunday 😫. Tasted like box dinner, not what you'd expect from a soul food restaurant...who does that?

Owner was very friendly. The place was nice and clean. The atmosphere was wonderful. The entertainment was great the food well not that good … chicken looks good but very bland no seasoning collard greens also needed seasoning mac & cheese well got to do better for soul food. 😩It’s a no for me but everything else was just wonderful. Let’s get the score up by improving the food oh, and drinks inexpensive great bartender, so will be coming back anyway because I had a really good time..
