Chicken King on Nations Ford Rd I-77 exit 4

If you want to pay extra for every little thing without them telling you in advance go here. They turned my $28 meal into a $40+ meal. When I asked to see The receipt the lady working the window refused. $3 drinks went $4 and she charged $3.50 for gravy with my 2 sides. She was deadset on working me over. Wanted to charge 1.45 for a cup of ice. I left the whole thing there. Never desperate or dumb.

Best Chicken King in Charlotte! Hands down!

Whenever we visit Charlotte, North Carolina, a stop at Chicken King is a must. They serve up the best burgers—seriously, oh my goodness! Their half-pound cheeseburgers are juicy, flavorful, and stacked with all the fixings: crisp lettuce, fresh tomatoes, tangy pickles, plenty of onions, and a generous slather of ketchup. Not to mention the fries and onion rings .They don’t hold back—they put the works on it, and I absolutely love a good, juicy cheeseburger done right.

Mom had the grilled chicken salad and there was enough to feed her for 3 meals. The salad greens were fresh and crisp, and the chicken was perfectly grilled and juicy.

Dad had the bacon cheeseburger and it was super juicy on a fresh bun.

I had the Po Boy sandwich and those shrimp deserve 5 stars on their own 😍. There had to be at least a 1/2 lb of shrimp, which were perfectly cooked with the lightest crispy coating I've ever had.

And those fries!!! Fresh cut, thick and perfectly cooked so the middles were fluffy, cooked in fresh oil and perfectly seasoned. I don't eat fries very often, but when I do, these are the fries I want.

We stopped in on a random pit stop on our way to South Carolina and I couldn't have picked a better place if I had tried.

The service from staff was a true reflection of Southern hospitality. Super friendly and polite, I would mistake them for Maritimers if the weather wasn't so nice! ☺️

Definitely in my favorites, and we'll find a way to make it a regular stop on our Southern adventures.

Fish, has no texture and slimy inside

The worst sides out of a can at that!very much over priced!!!!!they tax a dollar!a whole dollar more!!!!!they are rude if asked about different services or foods !!!!!dont come here food nasty they nasty !!!!!my money will not ever see this place again!!!!!!!!NOTHING IS HOMEMADE JUST DIFFRENT CONTAINING!HIGH COST FOR CAN AND STORE BOUGHT FOOD!!!!!!SURE DONT BELIEVE I DARE YOU GO TRY !!!!!food is bland not seasoned at all!!!!!

This was my first time eating at this establishment. In ordered the fish and shrimp combo, I was so excited to eat it bc they do give you a large portion every thing was hot and looked goodt! However….I don’t know if the fish was uncooked or if it was bad fish but it was mushy on the inside and fell apart and I don’t know what I was eating really bc it was NOT catfish it’s some type of “white fish”. I did give yall 2 stars bc the shrimp, fries and hush puppies were good. SN I put the fish in my air fryer and it’s still NOT catfish.

The inside SMELLS like a pee'd on, dirty, month old mop and mop water bucket. The food is completely destroyed, it's so overcooked it is inedible. Atmosphere is smelly with half assed employees that are more worried about talking about people in Spanish than actually doing their job.

I first would like to thank Mercedes for helping me with my order. It was my first time there, and I wasn't sure what I actually wanted after reviewing the menu. I definitely overlooked the daily special and was about to order the same exact thing for more money, so thank you very much, Mercedes.
Now I got the daily special, which was 4 pieces of dark meat, which came with 2 sides and a drink. 1st off, I guess I have to rethink my life choices cause the damn mac and cheese side alone makes me wonder where I went wrong in life. How the hell did yall make it that damn good. The chicken, omg. I don't think I'll ever visit a kfc again(only chicken place I know of close to me).
Yea, I messed up. I'm gonna go back and try the fish and shrimp.
I now just wish yall had a location closer to me in Kannapolis!

Just excellent. I’ve had a week of awful food and Chicken King hooked me up and I truly thank you guys for that! The seafood platter was amazing like always I got fries and fried okra. I also got the chef salad and it was delicious! Everything came HOT and fresh. The portions are always overflowing and packaged to perfection. I had to call them and tell them my food was fye 😂. Thanks yall, I’ll be back soon!

I ordered a 4 piece fried chicken dark meat with Cole slaw and a side of fried okra. It seemed like they didn’t allow the chicken or okra to drain properly. They gave me the okra in a styrofoam container with no parchment paper and the okra burned thru the container because they poured it in with the hot oil. When I notified them. They just transfer the okra with melted styrofoam on it in to a new styrofoam container. I didn’t expect much but I definitely didn’t expect to eat melted plastic with my order.

Food came out very fresh and good , customer service is top tear i would come back and visit again.
