Our flight to LA was cancelled. Needed to find a place near our hotel to have lunch. Walked around and originally went to IHOP. It was completely empty , looked like a scary movie scene , we walked out. Walked by Chubz and noticed it was pretty busy , always a good sign. Walked in and we were greeted so friendly and kindly by the owner. He asked what brought us in , we explained our situation. Come to find out he is originally from the San Fernando Valley area which is where we are from. Explained to us the So Cal places he was trying to recreate with his own spin here in Charlotte. The food was amazing. The best we have had on this trip. For sure a Cali vibe. If we are ever back in Charlotte , we will for sure be stopping in Chubz for the awesome food and staff ! We ordered Chili cheese burger , double cheese burger , chili cheese fries , onion rings and a beef hot dog ! He gave us a sample of all his in house homemade sauces. All were fire as well !! Here is a pic of my partially eaten food The area is not the greatest. This is a diamond in the rough. Worth a visit

I will begin by saying that if you are a snob, this is not the place for you. The parking lot, when i pulled in had some shady characters roaming around. The restaurant itself is wide open and you are greeted as you enter. The guys cooking were incredibly friendly and engaging with everyone. One of the guys was even providing table service. I had an order to go and was offered a drink while I waited. Very considerate. The cook updated me while he cooked. Now, for the quality of food. I had a triple chili burger which incredibly good. Well seasoned and the chili was stellar. My wife had a plain double and did not speak a word. Two thumbs up. The ribeye sandwich was excellent as well. The fries weren't our favorite. Total cost $54 Will definitely be back

This is by far my favorite burger in Charlotte. The chili cheese is a classic, so juicy. The chili cheese fries are a delightful indulgence and a whole lot of food. To top it off, eating here is an experience in itself with the old-school diner stools and the owners making jokes.

The food is average.. staff is always dirty and so is the restaurant..there is a homeless man that washes his clothes in the back sink not very sanitary ?.. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They also need pest control..lord of roaches.

Service here is incredible, there were three people working there when I went and each one of them were so genuine, kind, and helpful. They really want you to have the best experience you can.Hands down this was the best chiliburger I’ve ever had. It wasn’t messy at all which is impressive. The food also didn’t sit heavy which you would expect with this type of food.Will definitely be going back!
